Mind My Feelings Psychology

Mind My Feelings Psychology Mind My Feelings Psychology provides psychological services for children, teens, adults and families. Call us to find out more.

Mind My Feelings Psychology runs 'Circle of Security Parenting'. These 8-week programs help parents understand their childrens needs and behaviours. Using more than 40 years of research, the Circle of Security (COS) is an early intervention program that supports parents to understand and interact with their child’s emotional states and behaviours. Using a gentle pace the program encourages parents to use a reflective approach to ensure they fully discover, understand and learn how to interact with their children in a healthy manner. The COS is a way of thinking about children that enables parents to look beyond the children’s immediate behaviour and think about how to meet their relationship needs. The program is designed for parents who wish to help their children manage their emotions more effectively, and to build positive relationships with their children. In times like these let’s think and act with compassion. Let’s respect one another and allow expressions of opinions. 👥

We don’t have to share the same view points but that doesn’t mean we act less human and treat another with judgement or prejudice.

Unity is built through respect, empathy, understanding and acceptance. 🫂❤️🙏🏻
Not through fear, intimidation, anger and judging each other.

A change of view is something I think we would all love right about now, as we go into another lockdown.
Let’s check on our family, our mates and our neighbours. Let’s smile at others as they pass by. Let’s show compassion and understanding during this time of difficulty and frustration.
Lockdowns are annoying to some and extremely dangerous to others.
They increase feelings of anxiousness and depression, exacerbated feelings of procrastination, cabin fever and guilt to name a few. Lockdowns also compromise safe and healthy boundaries, leaving some people at risk of significant harm.
As members of the public or as family and friends, if we see anything that is of concern regarding someone’s mental or physical safety the link below has helpful numbers you can call. Please don’t be nervous to call and help someone who cannot or may not be able to make the call themselves. Calling 000 or a number from the link below may save a life.
🙏🏻💕🙏🏻💕🙏🏻💕🙏🏻💕🙏🏻💕🙏🏻💕🙏🏻
PLEASE REMEMBER keeping safe is a much bigger picture.
We may not be able to control what is happening around us but we can control how we act. So let’s act with love and compassion instead of fear and blame.

The Sunday Worry.
Sunday’s are for rest and rejuvenation, but instead they can be filed with dread for the coming week.
This stops our ability to be present and enjoy today, while creating more anxiety for the week ahead.
Let’s take time to recognise today’s worry, won’t change tomorrow’s outcome.
