Adventures with Winx

It’s wonderful to see Winxy running around again, she’s been feeling pretty rotten. We’re not out of the woods yet. Since she was around 2, we’ve struggled to manage her overcrowding. It’s been a difficult journey to find the right people to help, because she’s so little, it’s a unique situation. On the 3rd March we travel to the Charles Sturt Uni Vet Centre where Winxy will most likely have surgery. Unfortunately, having teeth removed is the only permanent solution for Winx. I’m not sure what the exact risks vs benefits are for her yet, I will find out when I speak to the team. I feel positive after having a good chat with her Vet 🤞

Winxy is feeling a bit unwell at the moment. The lovely ladies at helped make her feel much better, but next Winx needs to go to the Charles Sturt Veterinary Centre in Wagga. Send healing vibes her way 🙏

A little Winx update
Winx hasn’t been volunteering for a while now, it turns out that little ponies can have some pretty big health problems. It has been a huge task getting the help she needed, but I think we are finally on the right track- with the help of Culley Veterinary Services Borambola Valley Veterinary Podiatry Centre & Brindabella Equine Mobile Veterinary Services we are on the right track, Winxy although a little on the cuddly side is otherwise in good health. Her adult teeth were on track to causing irreversible damage & she was in lots of pain & she had one hoof growing wonky, but she’s back to her sassy self! I’m hoping to start back visiting nursing homes in spring but the Insurance is insane, $2,500. If anyone is interested in sponsoring Winx, please get in touch. Haley & Winx
