Painful periods that knock you out every month are not something you should just accept. When the pain feels deeper or lasts longer than usual, there may be something else going on. 😬

Here are some conditions can cause period pain to become more intense or unusually persistent:
• Endometriosis - Cells similar to the uterine lining show up in places they shouldn’t and cause heavy inflammation and pain.
• PCOS - Irregular hormones lead to a thicker lining that can make cramps more intense.
• Adenomyosis - The lining grows into the muscle wall and often causes very heavy and painful periods.
• Fibroids - These harmless growths can press on surrounding tissue and increase cramping.
• PID - Infection can cause inflammation in the pelvis making periods feel sharper and more draining.
• Cervical stenosis - A cervix that is too narrow can trap flow and worsen cramps.

If your period pain feels impossible to live with, take this as a reminder that you deserve proper care and relief, not more suffering. Feel free to chat us so we can explore options to ease your period pain! 💬

If a small tap on the arm or a cool breeze feels sharper than it should, you might be dealing with allodynia. It’s a kind of nerve sensitivity that turns ordinary sensations into pain. 😥

It can show up with conditions like migraines, shingles or fibromyalgia, but it can also appear on its own. If this sounds familiar, getting the right support early can make a real difference in how you cope day to day.

CBD treatment is one of the options we offer at PCA to help manage nerve-based pain, and we’re here to talk you through it without pressure. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, take this as a sign that you don’t have to figure it out alone. 🫂

The national toll of chronic pain was already at $73.2B in 2018, and is projected to rise to $215.6B by 2050.

We also know that chronic pain patients are forced to spend thousands on pain medications. But that's not the only unfair price they have to pay. 😓

Chronic pain takes more than that. It can also steal your quality of life in multiple ways which ends up worsening the pain and causing spoonies to resort to higher dosages of analgesics.

No one should have to carry numbers like these alone. If chronic pain has been holding you hostage, there are safer and kinder options for managing it. And we’re here to help you explore them one step at a time. 🌼

What if being strong didn’t mean ignoring pain but meeting it with help and hope? On International Men’s Day, we’re inviting men and those who care about them to rethink what strength really means.

Strength isn’t being the last man standing. It’s standing up and saying “I’m struggling” when you need to. When chronic pain makes daily life harder, admitting it means you’re still choosing to fight.

Too many men learn to live with pain in silence, thinking it’s just part of life. But pain doesn’t disappear just because you hide it and silence only makes the weight heavier.

If you’re a man living with pain, or you know one, offer space instead of silence. Sometimes kindness speaks louder than courage ever could.

Living with chronic pain often means you’ve had to be strong for far too long. Some days, kindness simply means letting yourself rest without guilt. 🌸

Pain changes how you move through the world. It can make even simple things feel like a battle you didn’t choose.

But you deserve GENTLENESS, not just from others, but from yourself too. You're still doing your best, even when progress feels slow. 🫂

This World Kindness Day, give yourself permission to pause. Speak to yourself like someone worth caring for... because you deserve nothing less.

Headaches might be common, but that doesn’t mean that you should ignore them. Headaches can impair your movement and affect your productivity. Here are the top 6 remedies to help you safely, quickly, and effectively soothe headaches:

❄️ Cold or warm compress – A cold compress can help numb pain and reduce inflammation. A warm compress can help relax tight muscles around your neck and shoulders.

💧Hydration – Dehydration is a common cause of headaches, so make sure that you drink a full glass of water when you feel a headache coming.

🫖 Drink soothing teas – Chamomile, ginger, or dandelion tea can help you relax and soothe headaches.

🛏️ Sleep – Not getting enough sleep can lead to headaches, so make sure that you get enough quality sleep each night.

🪻 Aromatherapy – The smell of peppermint, lavender oil, or eucalyptus is soothing and can help reduce headaches.

💆🏻‍♀️ Massages – Massages can help ease muscle tension that causes headaches.
