When life feels full, the small wins matter most

Some of the biggest wins we see as personal trainers aren’t the heaviest lifts or the fastest times — they’re the quiet, everyday moments. The parents who suddenly realise they can run around with their kids without needing a break. The person who can carry their shopping in one trip. The client who says, “I feel more like myself again.” These are the things that matter most to us. 💛

In every session, our focus is simple: energy, strength, movement, and confidence. We teach, we guide, and we keep you accountable — but most importantly, we help you build a body that supports the life you want to live. Functional training isn’t about looking a certain way; it’s about moving through your world with freedom, ease, and a little more joy.

If you’re working on your own strength, wanting to move better, or just need some gentle accountability to get started, we’re always here. No pressure — just support, encouragement, and a space where you can grow at your own pace. 🌱💪

Yesterday we ran our first bootcamp since before COVID.

We wanted to get back in to it, but make it more meaningful.

Yesterday we had 8 people come in to do our ‘500 session’ where all money would be donated to charity.

This bootcamp we chose to donate and we have sent off $80.

Those who came absolutely smashed the session!

Stay tuned for more details as we look to re-launch our bootcamps in 2026 which will be in Highton, Geelong.

A whopping 7 new clients starting this week, so we are getting to work reading all the PAR-Q sheets and goals to make sure all clients are working towards what they want to achieve.

We take our time with this because the history of a client matters not only physically but mentally too…

Meet the Team- Alicia (Personal Trainer)

What’s your go-to way to reset or recharge outside of training?

Would have to be with my netball club – East Geelong. I feel like when I’m there, I’m not a mum or a trainer, I’m just me. I get to switch off and just relax and do what I love doing and that’s playing netball and hanging out with all my netball friends.

They might not always listen, but they’re always watching. 👀

Tonight we centred our workout around being a family — something we’re going to make part of our weekly routine. 💪 The kids have joined us before, but this time it felt a little more intentional. It wasn’t without its challenges — kids were being kids, patience was tested, and calmness didn’t always come easy. But that’s part of the lesson too. There’s never a “perfect” time to start something meaningful — the right time isn’t in the future, it’s the moment you decide to begin.

At Power, Strength & Vulnerability, we believe everyone is a role model in some way. People might not always hear what we say, but they see how we show up. Every time we choose to move, to stay calm, or to lead with intention, we give others permission to do the same. At Power Strength & Vulnerability, support goes beyond the training floor. The parent programs we’re building aren’t just about lifting weights or getting fitter — they’re about giving you more of us. That means more guidance, more education, more coaching, and practical tools to help you carry strength into everyday life. We know many parents feel stretched thin and overwhelmed, so we’re creating a space where you don’t have to do it all alone.

And when we say support, we mean it. Alongside personalised programs, we’ll be including extras like shared meals, bonus recovery sessions, and simple resources to help you stay on track. These aren’t add-ons for the sake of it — they’re a way of giving back, making health and wellbeing feel achievable and sustainable even when life feels full. Program writing time ✍️ 🧠

At Power Strength & Vulnerability, no two client programs are ever the same. Every plan is built around the individual — taking into account injuries, previous training experience, sleep, nutrition, fatigue levels, mental health, work commitments, and family life. We want every client to get the best out of their training, because no two people have the same goals, lifestyle, or challenges. That’s why each program is carefully designed to support real people, in real life, with a structure that is simple, sustainable, and effective.

We also know that many of our clients are parents or people juggling overwhelm, stress, or neurodiversity. So our programs are made to be easy to follow and remember — not overcomplicated. We keep the focus on achievable, progressive steps that build strength and confidence over 10–12 week blocks, with downtime built in to let the body and nervous system reset. Our aim isn’t just to train you while you’re with us, but to equip you with the confidence and knowledge to step into any gym and continue your journey independently.

This way we can also track progress over 12 weeks, 12 months or 5 years. Showing the client they are stronger and what they’re doing is working.

We don’t just look at how many sessions a client wants to do, we look at what they need to and CAN do. Overwhelmed, time...

We don’t just look at how many sessions a client wants to do, we look at what they need to and CAN do.

Overwhelmed, time-poor, sleep deprived and battling does not equate to adding more exercise all the time.

Sometimes adding more sessions, more intensity and new exercises can in fact add more overwhelm and stress to the nervous system.

We pride ourselves on looking at the whole picture. Your job, study, family situation, future plans, current and past habits(length and depth), trauma and much much more.
The more we know the better we can look at wellness and how a program looks for you.

Exercise is meant to enhance your life, not take away from it.

If you’re doing zero sessions a week- look at doing one
If you’re doing one session a week- look at doing two
Etc…

If you’re struggling to exercise then look at how you can get it in your life without adding further stress.

Do it with your partner
With your colleagues? (bring a PT in for the team 😉)
With your friends?
With your kids?

You can do it and we’re happy to help if you need that too
