It’s easy to fall back into what feels familiar - even when it’s no longer working for us.

Sometimes growth simply starts with noticing that pattern and choosing something a little different. 🌿

A little team lunch to welcome one of our newest clinicians, Tegan! 🍽️

We always enjoy taking a little break together for good food and good company. Welcome to the team, Tegan - we’re so glad you’re here!

A growth mindset is the belief that our abilities can develop with effort, learning, and perseverance. Rather than seeing challenges as setbacks, a growth mindset helps us view them as opportunities to grow.

This perspective can be especially powerful in therapy. When we recognise that change is possible, we become more open to new ways of thinking, feeling, and responding to life’s difficulties.

Even small steps forward count as progress. 🌱

Boundaries aren’t about pushing people away. They’re about creating enough space to stay connected to yourself while staying connected to others.

Sharing this as a little reminder that it’s okay to need balance in your relationships 💚

Relationships can be one of the most meaningful parts of our lives, but they can also be challenging at times.

Couples therapy offers a space to slow down, listen to each other more openly, and work through difficulties with the support of a therapist.

Today we’re celebrating the incredible women in our Mindful Living community. From our team to the clients and colleagues we connect with every day, we’re continually inspired by the strength, care, and support women bring to the people around them.

We’re grateful to work alongside such thoughtful, dedicated women who show up for others in big and small ways. Here’s to recognising and appreciating the women who make our community what it is. 💚

Relational wounds don’t always come with one big, obvious memory. Often it’s a build-up of moments over time: not feeling seen, not feeling chosen, feeling like you’re “too much” or somehow not enough.

EMDR can still work with that. We don’t have to find one specific event. We can target the beliefs that show up now (“I’m not safe”, “People leave”), the body sensations, or the patterns that keep repeating in relationships. Your nervous system remembers, even if your mind can’t pull up a clear starting point.

We’re sharing this because a lot of people think EMDR only works for single-incident trauma. It can also support those deeper relational patterns that shape how you connect with others today.

You give so much of yourself: your time, your care, your love. This is your reminder that you are just as deserving of that same tenderness in return. 💛

Are you an EMDR therapist looking for a space to do your own personal EMDR work, or curious about how EMDR works in a group setting?

Our online EMDR Group Program for EMDR Therapists uses an adapted form of the EMDR IGTP protocol in a facilitator-guided, non-sharing format. Delivered over 3 x 2-hour weekly sessions, the program offers a contained space to process personal or professional material alongside other EMDR therapists, without needing to disclose what you’re working on.

If this sounds like something that would be helpful for you, you’re very welcome to join us.

This week’s annual Team Building Day had a bit of everything: reflection, learning, laughter, connection… and yes, a very competitive quiz 😉

From slowing down with grounding practices, to thoughtful discussions, to celebrating the incredible humans who make up our team - it was a reminder of how important it is to invest in one another.

Grateful for this team and the care they bring, every single day 💚

Ever wondered why you react the way you do in relationships? Why you might need lots of reassurance… or pull away when things get too close?

Attachment styles help make sense of those patterns. They’re not labels to box you in, just a way to understand yourself (and your partner) with a bit more compassion. When we understand our patterns, we can start responding instead of just reacting.

EMDR can look a little different depending on who’s in the room 😊

In this video, Susie Collins, one of our wonderful clinicians, is using a bubble wand instead of her fingers for the eye movements. It’s a simple shift, but for some clients, it can make the process feel more engaging.

We love finding ways to keep therapy evidence-based while also making it approachable and person-centred. 🌿
