World Cancer Day – February 4th

A cancer diagnosis can change everything, physically, emotionally, and mentally. But one powerful tool that is often overlooked is exercise.

Exercise Physiology plays a vital role in supporting people during and after cancer treatment by helping to:
✔ Reduce treatment-related fatigue
✔ Improve strength, fitness, and mobility
✔ Support mental health and emotional wellbeing
✔ Improve quality of life
✔ Reduce risk of recurrence for some cancers

At Innovate Exercise Physiology, we provide individualised, evidence-based exercise programs designed specifically for people living with and beyond cancer. Whether you are undergoing treatment, in recovery, or years post-diagnosis, our accredited Exercise Physiologists can help you move safely, confidently, and effectively.

This World Cancer Day, we celebrate strength, resilience, and hope — and we stand with everyone impacted by cancer. 💛

If you or a loved one would like support, we’re here to help.

GLA:D, ONERO… or a personalised exercise program? 🤔

Structured programs like GLA:D (for osteoarthritis) and ONERO (for osteoporosis) are evidence-based and highly effective for many people. But they’re not always the perfect fit for everyone.

So what’s the difference between following a standardised program and having an exercise plan designed specifically for you?

In this blog, we break down:
✔️ the benefits of proven clinical programs
✔️ where individualised exercise programming shines
✔️ why combining both approaches often leads to the best long-term results

If you’ve ever wondered which type of program is right for your body, goals, or health conditions, this one’s worth a read.

When it comes to improving strength, reducing pain, or managing long-term health conditions, exercise is one of the most powerful tools available. Physical Disability Awareness Day 💙

Today we recognise the lived experiences, strength, and resilience of people living with physical disabilities — and reaffirm our commitment to inclusive, accessible care.

At Innovate Exercise Physiology, we support people with physical disabilities by making movement safe, achievable, and meaningful.

How we help:
• Individualised exercise programs tailored to ability
• Strength, balance, and mobility training
• Functional exercise to support daily activities and independence
• Support for neurological and complex conditions
• NDIS-aligned goals and progress tracking
• A welcoming, inclusive environment — no pressure, no judgment

Exercise isn’t about “fixing” bodies. It’s about supporting confidence, independence, and quality of life in ways that matter to each individual.

Because everyone deserves the opportunity to move, participate, and thrive.

✨ Thinking about making a change in 2026? ✨

If you’ve never tried Exercise Physiology before, you’re not alone , and this might be the year to do something different.

Exercise Physiology isn’t about pushing through pain or keeping up in a gym. It’s about safe, tailored movement designed specifically for your body, your health, and your goals.

Whether you’re living with:
• Ongoing pain or injury
• A chronic condition
• Reduced confidence with exercise
• Or you’ve tried “exercise” before and it just didn’t work

Exercise Physiology focuses on helping you move better, feel stronger, and improve your quality of life, at your pace.

You don’t need to be “fit enough” to start.
You don’t need to push through pain.
You just need the right support.

2026 doesn’t have to be about doing more, it can be about doing things differently.

If you’ve been unsure where to start, Innovate Exercise Physiology might be the approach you’ve been missing.

For many older adults, the festive season means disrupted routines, more sitting, and less movement. Unfortunately, stopping exercise altogether can often lead to more stiffness, weakness, and pain — not less.

The good news? Exercise doesn’t need to stop over the holidays. With the right approach, movement can help:
Reduce joint stiffness
Maintain strength and balance
Support independence
Manage ongoing pain safely

We’ve just published a new blog exploring why maintaining movement over the festive season matters, particularly for older adults living with pain — and how to do it safely without overdoing it.

Need support? Our Accredited Exercise Physiologists can help you stay moving comfortably through the holidays.

Our Story

Tucker Strength and Performance is a boutique Exercise Physiology and Strength and Conditioning stupid based in Croydon in the Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne. We provide rehabilitation and chronic disease management services and specialise in lower back, hip and knee pain as well as Athletic development. Launched in 2016, in a small gym in Ringwood, we moved to our current location in Croydon in 2018. This moved allowed us to expand our services and has enabled us to treat more of the community to get them moving again. The studio is run by Bennett, who has 7 years experience as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist and Strength Coach who, over this time, has worked with a number of injuries such as shoulder tendinitis, hip impingement and lumbar disc injuries. He has also worked for a number of local and semi-professional football clubs where he has trained and rehabilitated a number of current AFL players.

We are passionate about helping people reduce their pain, improve their function and improve their overall health. Using the most up to date scientific principles, we aim to rehabilitate and get people moving like never before. We believe in the concept of ‘strong is best’ and want to educate as many people as possible about the benefits of being strong and moving effectively and efficiently. If you would like to improve your movement, decrease pain and rehabilitate an old injury and you have tried the traditional approaches but nothing has been working, contact us today on 0419 159 903 or send us a message via the page
