Meet Elsie and her gorgeous son Archie. Elsie is part of the FAST 30 Million Moves Team completing 75 moves a day for 21 days.

Elsie is loving the way moving everyday makes her feel as a new mum even after some of the sleepless nights, she always knows she will feel better after a workout. Elsie is also enjoying access to the free online fitness apps which is available as part of participation in this years WA Million Moves. This means Elsie can still get her sweat on and do at home fitness training via the free app access while Archie is sleeping as part of the Million Moves initiatives its a win win .. for both Elsie and Archie.

Archie will be participating with his mum in his very first 5km Parkrun/ walk this Saturday, as part of the FAST 30 Million Moves Team Initiative. Its a team inititative to get together and do a Parkrun to get our moves in while enjoying being part of a fantastic weekly community event.

No Excuses here.... on Million Moves Team FAST 30.

From pool swim, to strength training to walks with pushups added in, to wet and windy Parkruns and even a weights work out or two while on holiday.

Team FAST 30 are doing their daily 75 moves EVERYDAY, no matter how big or small their moves... they are showing commitment to themselves and their team mates.

As part of Million Moves Team FAST 30, Sarah is getting her 75 moves on daily for 21 days and logging them on her Million Moves dashboard.

This busy working mum of two, is keeping the 75 tally consistant with walking the kids to school, weekly PT sessions, then to top it off participated in the Lighthorse UltraMarathon on the weekend.

Sarah had to jump, run and walk her way through muddy puddles to hit a staggering 45 km. The consistency of her strength and running training under the guidence of exercise professionals ensured she stayed strong and injury free to kick her Ultra Goals. Keep going strong Sarah what a great role model you are for your family and those around you. A shout out to Coach Claire and Brooke for all there support of Sarah chasing her goals.

Meet TEAM FAST 30 Million Mover ... Tim O'Neill a true champion who has a CAN DO attitude. Even though with his own physical challenges to overcome.

Even though your in a daily wheelchair to get you around from A-B, since a Stroke affected your everyday movement. You took up the Million Moves challenge as part of Team FAST 30.

Tim is not letting his wheelchair stop him from achieving his 75... Million Moves. Today is an example of that. With extreme weather conditions Tim still turned up to Lake Joondalup parkrun to do his regular volunteer role and to get his steps in first, showing his commitment to his team and to improve his own health and mobilty.

Tim is practicing his steps out of his wheelchair daily as part of the Million Moves Initiative. Today he clocked up a massive 4.5km before volunteering at Parkrun. Tim is also lifting weights under the guidence of a Exercise Physiologist 2-3 x a week to keep his muscles strong and support his recovery from his stroke.

Give it up for Claire Franklin, otherwise known to all her running crew as …. Coach Claire Running and the Thursday night run coach for Northern Suburbs Runners Group.

Claire has just achieved her 7th star and Sydney marathon medal at the newly added Sydney Marathon on the weekend.

This award is for runners who complete all seven Abbott World Marathon Majors (Tokyo, Boston, London, Berlin, Chicago, New York, and the new addition to the group of World Marathon’s Sydney)

Claire has now run them all what a champion effort.

Claire is not just a full time runner and coach she also manages to have a full time job , 4 growing sons, donates her time on Thursday nights and Sunday’s to help others with their running goals planning running sessions and catch ups.

Claire has been a FAST 30 client for many years now as a client of mine post two knee surgeries which she has been able to rehabilitate back to full running condition, and is now under the guidance of the wonderful Personal Trainer Brooke Matich who has been lifting the bar on Claire’s strength and conditioning to support her running goals.

Claire knows the benefits of strength training to help reduce injuries and improve her overall fitness to complement her run training and has recommended to many of her running crew the benefits of incorporating strength training into their run programs.

I wanted to use this post to celebrate Claire’s incredible accomplishments and how much she loves to share her passion and knowledge of running to others.

If anyone is interested in joining any of Claire’s run sessions please get in touch . Claire caters for runners of all ages and abilities.

Meet FAST 30 Million Moves Team members Gayle and Kieren. They have both joined the 75 Moves a day for 21 days challenge this September.
Both love swimming for fun, fitness and competition. Swimming is a great exercise for every age group and fitness level. Gayle and Kieren will definitely be adding some swimming to their choice of daily movements during the Million Moves WA campaign.

Swimming is a great low impact workout for your whole body and utilises the resistance of the water for an overall great full body workout.

Swimming is great because its low impact taking the stress off your joints so is great for people with injuries who need to ease back into exercise.

It helps build muscular and cardiovascular endurance, improve balance and core strength.
Swimming is a great way to keep your heart and lungs strong.

Let the WINTER STEP Challenge begin …

Starting the FAST 30 Winter Step Challenge with a massive shout out to some amazing achievements at last weeks ‘HBF RUN FOR A REASON’

To Lisa who ran her first 1/2 Marathon and Helen who is going strength to strength with her running first the pinnacles and now completing a whole run without stopping is brilliant 🤩.

Gary who is like an energiser bunny that comes of back to back marathons like it’s just another day . The amount of incredible dedication to achieve these results Gary is a credit to you.

To Peter , Kim , Mitch and Baby Piper it’s so lovey to see you participate as a family in these community fitness events what great examples you are to your kids about the benefits of moving and being outdoors.

I know there were many other FAST 30 crew who participated so feel free to put your celebration pictures in the comments.
