I’ve had the honour of working with some truly amazing people this past year and I want to say thank you. Thank you for trusting me and for sharing your weight and wellness journey with me. I know first hand just how hard it can be to open up to someone and share your thoughts, feelings and experience around weight-loss.
I know this time of year can feel a little overwhelming. So many choices, so many questions… do I eat the rum balls, the trifle, the pavlova? How do I stick to my plan? OMGoodness… who invented fruit mince pies?
I just want to remind you that while this time of year often revolves around food, it’s really about connection. Food can hold memories, traditions and comfort, and it absolutely still has a place in celebrations, even when you’re on a weight loss journey.
Planning and self-regulation are key. Enjoy ‘some, not all’, and then return to your everyday meals after the celebrations.
Most of all, remember that when someone invites you to their table, they want to see you. They're not interested in what you're eating or not eating… they just want to spend time with you!
Wishing you a magical holiday season. See you in the New Year.
Chat soon,
Leigh.
