Capital Chemist Curtin We are the local pharmacy at Curtin shops. We are open Monday to Friday 8:30 am to 6:00 pm and Saturday 8:30am to 4:00pm

Capital Chemist Curtin is a service based community pharmacy. Our vision is to have trained staff with professional knowledge and skills to provide optimal health care and advice to the community. We are one of few pharmacies in Canberra who supply IVF medicines. All our pharmacists are trained to provide optimal advice on the use and administration of these medicines. Specialist testing has become part of our everyday services. We are able to test lipid profile, HbA1c, iron levels in addition to regular blood pressure, glucose. We have a compounding lab which allows us to prepare medicines which aren't commercially available. Vaccinations, leave certificates, opioid substitution, wound care, Impromy and ear piercing are other services.

On Wednesday we were invited to attend The Pharmacy Guild of Australia’s International Women’s Day dinner at The Boat House in Barton.

We were addressed by ACT Minister for Health, Mental Health, Finance and the Public Service, Rachel Stephen-Smith MLA and also had the privilege of listening to female business leaders who had travelled from Queensland and New South Wales for this event. It was inspiring to hear how hard they’ve worked, balanced and excelled in such a busy and multi faceted industry. The progression in women’s health was particularly insightful, aligning closely with our focus in fertility treatment delivering for awaiting mothers and families across the ACT and beyond.

It was special to get together and celebrate the hard working women in pharmacy delivering vital health outcomes for our community.
