🌿 Studio Update – The Movement Hut 🌿

The Movement Hut is about 90% ready ✨
Before we’re fully completed, there will be a few updates to the operational system happening over the next couple of weeks. Thank you for your patience as everything comes together.

A few important updates to share:

🧘‍♀️ Semi-private sessions
Semi-private sessions will be transitioning from 2 to 3 people per class.

👟 Studio etiquette – shoes
There will be a designated space for shoes.

Before entering, kindly clean your shoes from any debris on the designated carpets outside and inside the hut.
For comfort during our practice, I’ve chosen cork flooring—which I absolutely love—but it is more susceptible to scratching and denting. Your care really helps preserve the space 💛

🧦 Pilates socks (studio-only)
Socks worn outside tend to carry debris, especially now that we walk on grass to reach the studio. Please bring a clean pair of socks in your bag or pocket to use only inside the studio.

🌸 Personal hygiene
As the studio will be hosting more people per class, please be mindful of strong perfumes or body odours. Let’s keep the space feeling fresh and comfortable for everyone.

📅 Upcoming mat Pilates classes
Over the next few months, I’ll be adding more mat Pilates classes.
Please keep an eye on the page for schedule updates.

All new classes will begin at a foundation level.

If you have cervical or lumbar osteoarthritis and are interested in Pilates, please consider my Mat Pilates Foundations class on Thursdays at 10:00 am at West Winds Community Centre, Woodbridge.

This Pilates Foundations session will form the base of our mat Pilates classes. Over time, intermediate-level sessions will be offered for practitioners who are ready to explore a more advanced repertoire.

Finally… The Movement Hut is here 🤍
Two years in the making, filled with thoughtful design to include a variety of equipment & and movement modalities, hard work, and yes—a few tears along the way. All of it part of a new adventure.

This new space allows me to offer small-group mat Pilates sessions. Until now, my current space has been limited to just two people, so this moment feels extra special.

To celebrate, I’m launching the first small-group mat class at the end of February.

Summer season classes update!

As we get closer to the holiday season, here’s a quick update about our class schedule:

📌 Final class of the year:
Saturday, 20 December

📌 Reopening in 2026:
Tuesday, 20 January

Classes will continue with the usual schedule in the new year.

⭐️ Tuesday: 10:15 am - Strength Boost Program
This session is ideal for those new to strength training or returning after a break. It’s a full-body program offering various options and levels to match your current physical condition. A weekly video is available for those who want to repeat the session or can’t attend live.

⭐️ Saturday: 8:05 am - Mat Pilates Foundation Level
Focus on spinal mobility, core activation, general stability, and strength. This class will leave you feeling connected and energized, emphasizing movement with intention and purpose.

New Students: 6-Week Mat Pilates Foundation Program 🧘‍♀️🌿

Perfect for beginners or those looking to get back into Pilates or learn more about the method and my teaching style. We’ll focus on improving alignment, breathing mechanics, core activation, and overall stability and strength.
