What is a herniated disc and could it be the cause of your symptoms? ๐ข
A herniated disc happens when the soft gel-like centre of a spinal disc pushes through a tear in its tougher outer layer, often pressing on nearby nerves. This might feel like a shooting or radiating pain (such as sciatica), a tingling or numbness in the limbs and muscle weakness - especially when sitting, bending or lifting.
