It has been 9 years since I officially began my business, so I’ve taken a beautiful trip down memory lane to celebrate.
I never really knew what I wanted to be when I grew up, just that I wanted to be happy, and to help people.
I’m just so grateful to be able to say just how happy this career has made me.
Mostly because of all of the beautiful souls that I have met along the way…there are far too many to even try to mention!
Some of these souls I worked alongside with, and they gave me support, guidance and taught me about helping to heal people’s bodies.
Some of these souls are people who allowed me the honour of trusting me to work on their bodies during some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives.
Some of these souls are people who came to me as clients and have become my friends and extended family.
Every person I have worked on and with in this 9 year journey has taught me something and I’m so grateful to each and every one of them for supporting my my business, and my dream to be self-employed.
The social enterprise Joining Hands was a huge part of my transition into trauma-informed body work and I’m eternally grateful that I found that tribe just when I needed it.
I’m still working for many of the same community groups that I was introduced to via Joining Hands.
This has always been a highlight of my job and some of my most rewarding work.
I’ve also been blessed with so many loyal and regular clients, and that has allowed me to continue to work from home and spend the maximum amount of time with my girls. People have always been so supportive and happy for me to work around my girls and this has meant the world to me.
They were 2 & 4 when I started and believe me, it wasn’t easy completing my diploma and working part time while they were in kindy and prep!
But it all paid off 🙌
So thank you to everyone that has supported me and my business, I appreciate you all so very much.
