Hello Friend's π
Good news!! No chemotherapy needed. Had my post op appointment yesterday afternoon & surgeon is very happy with everything.
I'm glad the tumour was found when it was & as a result I've avoided a more sinister outcome.
The tumour was 7.5cm but hadn't spread to any lymphnodes & was a grade 2 π
I'll need a follow-up colonoscopy in about a month's time just to make sure everything else is ok, a blood test done to monitor cancer cells & a CT Scan later in the year.
I can't give enough credit to my amazing Doctor, Dr Jim.
All this started because I had a stitch like pain in my right side & just felt off.
Blood tests came back showing a low B12. On my mum's side of the family tree there is a B12 deficiency, Pernicious Anaemia. Even knowing this Dr Jim wasn't satisfied & did further investigations & I'm so glad he did!!
It's been a bit of a rough time in places & I'm so thankful for the care I received from my girls, Sharleene & Jasmin & my bestie Liz. I'm also greatful for the beautiful friends that I have in my world for your love, support, gifts, messages & keeping me smiling. Its been a team effort & what a great team we are ππͺ
Thank you for following me on this little journey. It's been a memorable one & a new collection of scars to add to the rest. I wear each & every one proudly because it means I've survived. π
Now I can go back to work π€©
