Detox Diaries - Day 2 🌱

Update ~ Felt lighter in my body and clearer in my mind, especially with a 3.45am wake up call and a fuuuull day of teaching classes. My goal with this detox is to cleanse my system and boost mental clarity, and I could already feel the shifts happening.

However by afternoon, I won’t lie, it was hard. I didn’t get to make a proper breakfast as I was back to back teaching classes from 5am then back again for the afternoon shift, so come afternoon my brain started melting and I felt really tired. A great reminder that this is not recommended as a long term “diet”. Very intentionally temporary.

I felt really hungry by lunch time (of course, I’d been up since 3.45am with only a protein shake) and felt better once I got home to eat. Focused on hydration with plenty of water, and kept my body in the liquid cleanse phase.

Detox Diaries Day 1 – Detox mode: ON ✅

First day of the detox and it’s been smooth(ie) sailing so far (pun 100% intended)

We’re on liquids only for the first three days and honestly, I’m feeling really good. I still get to eat (well drink) solid foods!! No withdrawals to report & no snack cravings

Energy’s steady, mind’s clear, and my Juice Plus caps are doing their thing behind the scenes—flooding my system with all the good stuff while my digestion takes a little break.

Only real side effect? I’ve been peeing like a champion. Hydration station is officially open.

These photos are just 10 DAYS apart and show the glow-up that is possible in such a short time when your nourished properly. Yet the changes Grace has experienced over 3 months are insane!

“This was my third round of detox! This time I FINALLY took photos and so wish I could see that pre-detox version of me in June! I don’t like to weigh myself but know I’ve lost some decent kilos and inflammation since my first round. My skin improves every time ✨

That was abit dumb to assume you’ve seen my posts. 🫠🫠🫠🫠

It’s no wonder we are such an unwell society and the pharmaceutical industry is making bank! 🏦

But then, every now and then you find people who do want to uplevel their health holistically, invest in their wellness and they realise how important taking care of their body is.

Your body is literally built by what you do daily, not what you do once in a while 🕺🏼🥬🌞💦

I’ve been in the health & fitness industry for over a decade, and if there’s one thing I absolutely know to be true - results don’t come from a perfect plan. They come from the things you do over and over again, until they become second nature.

At the start of 2025, I participated in my own 21 Day Health Reset program that I created for my clients to dial up some of my own health habits. 45 days in, I’m still going strong! Not because I’m perfect, because I am so clear on how I want to FEEL, and I MAKE TIME for these small but life changing habits every day.

Afew things I’m focusing on:

✅ Resistance training 3x a week
✅ Prioritising protein at every meal (because hello perimenopause 😵‍💫)
✅ Daily walk (this has been challenging with a dodgy hip)
✅ Drinking min 2L of water (hydrated skin = constantly being mistaken for being in my 20s 💁🏼‍♀️)
✅ Prioritising recovery (saunas, stretching, mobility training, not being busy, min 7-8hrs sleep)
✅ A 10-day detox every few months
✅ Eating for nourishment, not punishment

Now, here’s where most people go wrong: they see a list like this and think “Ooo I’ll just copy that.”

Nope. That’s not how this works.

If your habits don’t fit your lifestyle, your body, and your actual goals, they won’t stick. Simple as that.
