Thank you Katrina Robertson
for kindly accompanying me to Roma Sunday afternoon and staying overnight for my first cataract surgery (right eye) on Monday 11am and driving me home. Left eye is not near as bad yet as the right one was so need to wait longer to get that one done. The right cataract was there for about 5 years and the last couple years and particularly last few months have been exhausting dealing with the implications from it.
I was a bit anxious about the surgery but it all went well. The eye has a lot of blood in it if I look outwards but not going to post that … don’t need anyone fainting lol! Apparently very normal. Not even feeling agitation or gritty feelings even which is normal to feel. Bit of flickering light today in outer side of eye. Google says ….
Seeing flickering or shimmering lights in your vision is due to the lens capsule healing and gradually shrinking and bonding with the new lens.
The body is amazing at healing!
This week off work to rest and recover… or longer if necessary.
