On a warm spring evening what is better than chicken and some beautiful salads! Our 137 visitors appreciated and enjoyed these meals provided by Eyecare Eyewear on Thursday evening. The children loved the icecream for dessert too - a real treat! What a wonderful team we had serving - it made it a really easy night for our volunteers. We sincerely thank Eyecare Eyewear for their support of people who need a hand in Dalby.

Let us tell you a story…. Its a good one full of connection, collaboration and opportunity….

There was a question… What to do for our Christmas window this year?

There was an opportunity… Dalby Chamber of Commerce had created a ‘Christmas Light Up Your Window’ event.

There was a discussion ….Nat Sleeman (Practice manger) and Michelle Roger (Optom Tom’s Wife) wanted to do something uniquely Dalby. No snowflakes in Dalby!

There was an idea…. What if we connected Christmas with indigenous art, gave a student an opportunity, and in the process connected with local schools and businesses?

There was action…. We did a search, did some collaboration and our idea is reality!

Eyecare Eyewear is honoured to showcase local art student Corina Jones' stunning artwork. Corina is a talented Gamilaraay and Kamilaroi woman who has beautifully depicted women and men gathering around our campsites, waterholes, fires, under much needed rain and the stars in our night sky.

Sundown Signs were so supportive in working with Corina’s creations and us at Eyecare Eyewear. They have used their wonderful design and technical skills to create the incredible visual and social impact this art has on our windows.

As a local business we are passionate about our local community. We work, live and play here.
