Doing stuff matters. But sometimes it can also be hard to do, especially if you’re going through a difficult time. Often when we’re feeling flat or sad, doing things can be the last thing we want to do.
For times like this, we have six tips that may help:
1. Set small goals
2. Find activities you enjoy
3. Make a plan
4. Keep trying
5. Reflect
6. Be kind to yourself
You can also visit headspace.org.au for tips on how look after your mental health.
If you’ve tried some of these strategies for a while and things haven’t improved, support is available. Our team at headspace Dandenong is here to support you on your journey.

💚 Human Rights Day 2025: Our Everyday Essentials 💚

In times of turbulence and unpredictability, it's essential to remember that human rights are the core values that keep us grounded. The 2025 theme, "Human Rights, Our Everyday Essentials," reminds us that things like feeling safe, respected, and having access to support are not abstract ideas—they shape our daily lives and are crucial for well-being.

At headspace Dandenong, we see the impact of these rights every day by providing a supportive space where young people can find stability, connection, and care. These essentials are positive, attainable, and a winning proposition for all of humanity.

We are a free service for young people between 12–25 years and if you need support with emotional and physical well-being, please reach out to headspace Dandenong .
