As we come to the end of the school holidays, we’ve been reflecting on what has been a big (and very rewarding!) couple of weeks at NDIThrive.
Our first week kicked off at full pace with over 30 attending each day — the farm was buzzing with energy, laughter, and activity. We loved seeing the genuine connections forming — from gentle animal interactions to hands-on engagement in horticulture, gardening, cooking, and creative arts.
Over the coming weeks, we’ll be getting the keys to our new farm in Pearcedale and beginning the transition across. Don’t panic — we’ve planned this carefully and have extended our time to ensure the move is smooth, especially for our beautiful animals. Their wellbeing (and a seamless experience for our clients) is our top priority.
The new location is only around 20 minutes away, and throughout the move we’ll continue operating and welcoming new clients and staff as we grow.
There are some bittersweet moments too. Last week we said goodbye to someone very special to the NDIThrive family — Dylan. Our reptile master, youth worker, and all-round legend has been a huge part of our journey. From sharing his passion for animals to building meaningful connections with participants, Dylan has left a lasting impact on so many. He’s heading off to pursue his career supporting young people — something he has worked hard to study and prepare for. While we’ll miss him greatly, we couldn’t be prouder and wish him every success. Our door is always open if he ever finds his way back down this way.
On a brighter note, we’re excited to welcome Meri to the team. With a wealth of knowledge and a lifetime of experience, we know she will be a fantastic addition and fit right in.
