Have you been putting up with pain or discomfort - even if it’s just a little?

Sometimes the tiniest aches in your feet, ankles, or legs can be signs of underlying biomechanical issues. Our podiatrists use thorough assessments and tools like the Zebris treadmill to spot subtle movement patterns that could be causing pain now or might lead to problems later.

Don’t wait until it becomes more serious. Book a biomechanical assessment and let us help you move more comfortably and confidently.

Is heel pain always plantar fasciitis? 🤔

In our latest video, Nick explains that heel pain isn’t always caused by plantar fasciitis. While it’s a common diagnosis, there are many possible causes, which is why getting the right diagnosis is so important.

Other causes of heel pain can include fat pad bruising, Achilles tendinopathy, heel spurs, stress reactions, and more.

Heel pain is something to get on top of early, no matter the cause. If you’re experiencing ongoing discomfort, come and see our podiatry team - we’re here to help.

With years of clinical experience, our team knows exactly which indicators to look for when assessing how your feet and lower limbs move. By understanding your biomechanics, we can identify the cause of discomfort and tailor treatment to support long-term movement and comfort.

If you’re putting up with pain or discomfort, you don’t have to. Come and see us, we’ll assess what’s going on and discuss how we may be able to help.

Did you know the average person takes around 7,500 steps per day? That’s over 2.7 million steps per year!

Each step involves a complex biomechanical dance of your feet, ankles, knees, and hips - all working together to keep you moving efficiently.

Our podiatrists can assess your biomechanics and help keep you moving comfortably.

What do we look for when assessing how you walk?

In our latest video, Ned explains what our podiatrists observe during a walking assessment. We look at:

Foot and ankle movement

Gait patterns and stride length

Weight distribution and balance

Any signs of overpronation, supination, or compensations in the lower limbs

To get the most accurate data, we use our Zebris treadmill, which provides detailed insights into your gait. This allows us to personalise treatments and help you move comfortably and safely.

Step into precision with Zebris! 🦶

Our Zebris treadmill lets us capture detailed gait and movement data, giving us a clear picture of how your feet and lower limbs function. This means more accurate assessments and personalised treatment plans for every patient.

In our latest video, Brendan explains pronation - the natural inward roll of your foot when you walk or run.

While some pronation is normal, excessive or insufficient pronation can lead to foot, ankle or knee issues.

What is a biomechanical assessment, and how long does it take?

A biomechanical assessment is a thorough evaluation of how your body moves.

We break down the biomechanics of the body, including gait analysis and range of motion. We also assess both weight-bearing and non-weight-bearing exercises

These appointments usually take 30–60 minutes, giving our podiatrists the time to accurately diagnose any issues or address your concerns.

Understanding your body’s movement is the first step to improving foot, ankle, and overall lower limb health.
