My name is Sarah Melder, ‘Melder Support Services’ is the name of my business and it’s in the Disability Support services field. I have extensive experience in the Support Service industries such as aged care & disability Support for over 7 years, additionally I have 6 years’ experience in childcare, also obtaining certifications in CPR and first aid, as well as a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and a certificate 3 in aged care throughout my time in my roles. I have undertaken numerous courses in relation to children services, aged care & disability, to broaden my knowledge on the areas I partake in. Currently I am working as a support worker and feel very honoured with the difference I get to make in each of my client’s lives. I am very dedicated to my career and its something I feel very passionate about, and hold close to my heart. I am a mother of two beautiful children, and a foster parent for Berry Street – Child & Family Services, providing a safe home and healing trauma to each young child that comes into our lives. My husband and I like to make them feel a part of our family, welcoming them in with open arms, and showing them what a stable environment can look like, until they are able to return to their own family, meaning we have had the privilege of having a variety of all ages and personality’s come into our home, and we have cherished every minute of it, knowing the changes we have made to these young lives. I look forward to building new relationships in the community 😊
