Splice Therapy Speech Therapy for children and adults - speech and language disorders, literacy, autism My passion lies in giving a person a voice. Simone

The very essence of humankind is being able to communicate with the world around us. I'm passionate about maximising a person's speech, language and literacy skills so they can connect with the world. We can do this through therapy for:
- late talking
- speech sounds
- expression - vocabulary, sentence structure and grammar
- comprehension
- early literacy and auditory awareness
- stuttering
- voice

Since graduating in 1993 I have worked locally, interstate and overseas in a range of settings - hospitals, community health clinics and schools. My experience has been broad, from working with adults in the acute setting to working with 9 month olds who may show early signs of language learning difficulties. I have worked with children of all ages with a range of speech, language, fluency and literacy disorders. My philosophy is to work in an honest and transparent way, and closely with other health professionals, teachers and/or carers. Please don't hesitate to send me a message if you have any queries.

One of the great and enduring mysteries of autism is what causes the brain to develop so differently.

Researchers from Telethon Kids Institute are seeking grandparents who have a child with autism, and/or a grandchild with autism, to participate in a study that aims to measure patterns of autistic traits across generations and gain an understanding of grand-parenting in the context of ASD in their family. Participation involves the completion of two surveys, completed either online, by return post, or via interview (telephone or in person).
