Many people I see, have been told their issue with weight is, “genetic!”. They feel there is little for them to do but struggle. I am this size/weight/shape, because my mother, aunty, sister, uncle, etc. are overweight, therefore, so am I.

Stop! That's not true! You are overweight because your body has too much food for its needs! I know you maybe eating a tiny amount, but the body is out of balance maybe due to other factors… that's all. Things such as sleep, diet, stress and learnt patterns of behaviour have a big impact on us and our weight.

Our bodies are meant to be working in balance! We need to learn about balance, how to eat right and live a healthy lifestyle!

We have to learn to make positive changes in our lives, so that we can maintain a healthy lifestyle. We don't have to change our body size but making better decisions about the food we eat, our sleeping habits and anything that affects the stability of our mind can change our life for the better!.

True selflessness...

Senegalese soccer star, Sadio Mane, makes around $10.2 million a year. Fans were in disbelief when they saw him holding an iPhone 11 with a cracked screen. His reply was incredible: “Why would I want ten Ferraris, 20 diamond watches and two jet planes? What would that do for the world? I starved, I worked in the fields, I played barefoot, and I didn’t go to school. Now I can help people. I prefer to build schools and give poor people food or clothing. I have built schools [and] a stadium; we provide clothes, shoes, and food for people in extreme poverty. In addition, I give 70 euros per month to all people from a very poor Senegalese region in order to contribute to their family economy. I do not need to display luxury cars, luxury homes, trips, and even planes. I prefer that my people receive a little of what life has given me”.
