Mediumship is a natural ability that facilitates interaction between the spiritual and physical realms. While some individuals discover this gift spontaneously, others may need to dedicate time to study, practice, and hone their skills.

The spirit world communicates through various intuitive abilities known as "clairs." Clairvoyance involves seeing spirits, while clairaudience refers to hearing messages. Clairsentience enables individuals to perceive the presence and emotions of spirits, while claircognizance provides insights without requiring explanation. Additionally, clairalience involves smelling scents from the spirit realm, while clairgustance relates to tasting substances linked to spiritual experiences. Together, these abilities facilitate a deeper connection with the spirit world. Through these channels, spirits can convey messages, offer guidance, or share experiences from life after death.

However, like any human ability, mediumship can be misinterpreted or poorly executed, and in some cases, it may even be exploited. It’s essential to approach this practice with care and respect to ensure a genuine and meaningful connection.

Use Your Voice.

Mediumship is a three-way communication involving the person in spirit, the medium, and you, the sitter. The medium serves as the conduit for this communication.

When the medium seeks a response, such as a yes or no, respond loudly and clearly. If you're unsure, it’s perfectly acceptable to say, “I’m not sure” or “I don’t know.” It is the medium's role to clarify any uncertainties.

However, it’s important to let the medium lead the session. As the saying goes, “Don’t feed the medium.”

Occasionally, when very specific information comes through, sitters may feel excited and start to provide additional details. Please refrain from doing this.

There are two key reasons for this: first, the medium needs to maintain an open line of communication with the spirit. Interruptions can disrupt this connection. Second, it's not your place to supply information. If a medium receives an important message and you interject before they can convey it, the evidential impact of the message may diminish.

Remember that the person in spirit is communicating with the medium, who in turn communicates with you. I use the term “person” because those in spirit are indeed individuals—they are spirit people. They may not possess physical bodies or breathe, but in essence, they are much like us.

As George Harrison, the legendary Beatle, aptly put it, “the only difference between us and the dead is that we breathe.” And he was absolutely right!

Yes, this occurs quite often, whether spontaneously or intentionally evoked.

It's also important to understand that spirits are not merely at our beck and call out of curiosity. Often, they choose to avoid contact if they sense that it would bring more disturbance than comfort, demonstrating their sensitivity to the emotional landscape surrounding them. This reminds us of the importance of compassion and understanding in such profound interactions.
