The Spot – A Great New Initiative for Young People (Aged 12–25)
We’re excited to share that a new Sexual Health and Relationship Services clinic has just opened only a minute’s walk from us, right on the corner of Searcy and Smith St.
This is an incredible resource providing support, education, and services for young people in our community. Whether it’s for advice, check-ups, or just a safe space to talk.
Meet Grayson and Nurse Anngie from NTAHC — your friendly dream team for youth health! They’re armed with big smiles, good vibes, and answers to all your awkward questions. 🚑✨ Swing by The Spot this week for our grand opening — appointments or walk-ins welcome. Your health, your call!
Our first clinic opens this Wednesday, 10th September at headspace Darwin, followed by our NTAHC City site on Thursday 11th September. (Site at headspace Katherine - COMING SOON)
These youth-focused clinics are designed as a one-stop spot for everything related to sexual and relationship health, providing confidential, youth-friendly support for people aged 12–25.
We’d love your support in sharing this service with young people. Referrals can be made directly, or young people can walk in themselves.

What we offer:
• Sexual & reproductive health screening (STI testing, contraception, pregnancy testing)
• Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence support
• Contraceptive consultation and prescription
• Counselling and wellbeing support
• Education and information around healthy relationships, consent, sexual health, and wellbeing
• Referral connections to other youth-focused services when needed
• Community education workshops covering a wide range of sexual health and relationship health topics, tailored for schools, services, and community groups
The clinic approaches are:
• Confidential – young people can attend without their information being shared outside the service (unless safety concerns require it).
• Youth-led – designed with young people, for young people.
• Integrated – nurses and counsellors work side by side to reduce the need for retelling their story.
• Accessible – a safe and welcoming space for all genders, identities, disabilities and cultural backgrounds.
This initiative is made possible through the NT PHN’s Supporting Recovery funding, which enables us to strengthen services that allow the detection and provide support to recover from the effects of Domestic, Family and Sexual Violence. In collaboration with our wonderful friends at headspace.
