Zonta Club of Brisbane's third finalist for the Advancement of Women Award is Kylie-Lee Bradford. Kylie is an award-winning entrepreneur, author, speaker, and coach, and founder of Kakadu Organics, an Aboriginal-owned, female-led company that produces native foods, wellness products, and bush medicine.
Raised in Kakadu, Northern Territory, Kylie-Leeβs deep cultural knowledge and lived experience fuel her passion for creating sustainable communities and increasing economic empowerment for Aboriginal people in business, particularly women in rural and remote areas.
Kylie-Leeβs journey began with the founding of Kakadu Tiny Tots in 2016, a unique organic baby clothing line featuring hand painted art from the Kakadu Region.
After appearing on Shark Tank Australia and turning down an investment offer to stay true to her vision of creating impactful change, she grew the business into a successful venture stocked in over 100 retail outlets across Australia. Today, Kakadu Organics has matured into a cultural wellness company with a global reach, co laborating with major companies like Qantas, Accor, Canva, QTIC, and Supply Nation.
Through Kakadu Organics, Kylie-Lee champions First Nations women, fostering entrepreneurship and leadership while promoting cultural preservation through workshops and immersive experiences. In addition to her business leadership, Kylie-Lee works closely with First Nations entrepreneurs and organisations across Australasia and the Pacific Islands. Her impact spans capability building, community consultation, trauma-informed coaching, and international cultural exchange.
With qualifications in Life Coaching, Trauma-Informed Care, Mental Health First Aid, Tourism and Events, and a diploma from Murra Business School, Kylie-Leeβs expertise is both broad and deeply rooted in community values.
Her mission is clear: to empower women, preserve cultural heritage, and create lasting social impact by uplifting communities through sustainable business practice.
