Every day across Australia, 9 babies and young children die suddenly and unexpectedly. We’re losing them to SIDS and stillbirth, among other things. This devastating loss is indescribable. Here at Physio Evolution we have been participating in the Red Set Go challenge which involves walking / running 3km every day for the month of August. 🔴 Red, Set, Go – We Are Walking for the Ones Who Never Got a Chance 💛

This August, our team at Physio Evolution Darwin is taking on the Red, Set, Go Challenge – walking or running 3km every single day to honour the 3,000 babies and children who die suddenly and unexpectedly each year in Australia.

Every day, nine families face unimaginable heartbreak. Some only have precious moments with their babies. Others never hear their child’s first cry. We are walking for them – to help fund life-saving research, provide counselling, and support those grieving the loss of a child.

👋 Get to know Jasmyne - Senior Physiotherapist

Jasmyne is a valued member of our team at Physio Evolution Darwin, bringing over 10 years of experience as a Physiotherapist. As a local Darwin girl, she has worked in various settings, including aged care, hospice care, sports coverage, in-hospital care, and outpatient services. Jasmyne has recently taken an interest in Paediatric Physiotherapy and is working towards her Masters Qualifications in this field.

🎉 About Jasmyne: Outside of work, Jasmyne manages a busy household with her three children under the age of 6 and has recently decided to add to that chaos by getting herself a new puppy named George. She’s a passionate Richmond Tigers AFL fan and enjoys spending time outdoors with her family.

We're thrilled to announce that Sue Gibson, our highly experienced Specialist Paediatric Physiotherapist, will be visiting our clinic on Thursday, August 8th and Friday, August 9th!

With over 30 years of experience in paediatric physiotherapy, Sue has been making a significant impact in Darwin over the past 12 months. She specialises in assessing and treating complex paediatric conditions, developmental delays, and providing expert advice on equipment, mobility aids, and NDIS report writing.

If you have concerns about your child’s development or need guidance on managing specific conditions, this is a fantastic opportunity to get personalised care from a visiting specialist.

We are pleased to introduce Yanca, a Remedial Massage & Lymphoedema Therapist, with over 20 years of experience serving Darwin.
Yanca specialises in Remedial Massage, Sports Massage, Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Lymphoedema treatment, including scar and adhesions management. Additionally, Yanca offers pregnancy massage and gentle relaxation massages to alleviate stress levels.

As a member of AMT (Association of Massage Therapists) and ALA (Australasian Lymphoedema Association), Yanca is committed to personalised care for clients of all ages and conditions.

Yanca is a registered Health Fund Provider and health fund rebates are available for remedial massage.

Initially available on Thursday afternoons, appointments may expand to Saturday mornings based on demand.

🎾Our superstar sports physio Dori has been busy working at the Junior ITF Tennis Championships in Darwin! 🎾 She has had a blast helping the young players stay in tip top shape over the past 2 weeks!
Congratulations to all the finalists in today’s matches.
Dori will be back in the clinic on Tuesday following a well deserved long weekend break!
