ADCET Webinar: Creating Inclusive Placements for Students with Disability

Join us on Wednesday, April 30th, from 1:00-2:00 pm AEST, when Amani Bell will share insights from her research on addressing placement inequities.

University students with disability often face significant barriers during compulsory placements, including financial stress, ableism, and discrimination. Through participatory action research with student co-researchers and workshops involving 74 students and educators, Armani Bell's Australian Centre for Student Equity and Success Fellowship has developed practical solutions to these challenges.

In this presentation, Amani will focus on the issues and solutions related to ensuring placement inclusion for students with disability.

Congratulations to Troy Kotsur who has made history as the first Deaf male actor to win an Oscar!

Kotsur claimed the supporting actor prize for his powerful performance in CODA, a film about a deaf family with one hearing member.

This must-watch film also took home the Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay and Best Picture to cap off a historic night.
