Discover whether your hearing aids are water-resistant!

When a hearing aid is labeled with IP67, it refers to its Ingress Protection (IP) rating, which tells you how well the device is protected against solids (like dust) and liquids (like water). The rating is made up of two numbers:

• 6 (the first digit): This means the hearing aid is completely dust-tight. No dust can get inside at all.

• 7 (the second digit): This means the hearing aid can withstand immersion in water up to 1 meter (about 3.3 feet) for up to 30 minutes without being damaged.

So, an IP67-rated hearing aid is highly resistant to dust and can handle being accidentally dropped in water or worn in heavy rain — though it’s not intended for swimming or showering .
