NEW DOCTOR: Dr Will Hannam 🌟

Please help us in welcoming new Sports Doctor, Dr Hannam to the TSM Team!

Will graduated from Flinders University Doctor of Medicine in 2019. He has spent time in the Territory before including in Darwin, Katherine and Alice Springs.
Originally from Sydney, Will has spent the past 7 years moving around Australia, living in 4 different states.

He has recently completed the requirements for the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) and is awaiting Fellowship. He is currently undertaking further training as a Registrar with the Australian College of Sport and Exercise Physicians (ACSEP). In the past, Will has also completed a Graduate Diploma in Child Health.

He has experience working in the Hostplus and NSW Cup Rugby League in NSW and QLD, AFL with the GWS AFLW team and various game day doctor roles in other sports. He has a keen interest in Rugby Union and League. Areas of interest are anything sport and exercise related! Whether that is working with young athletes, older athletes with chronic conditions or acute injuries and concussion.

NEW PHYSIOTHERAPIST: Themi 🌟

Please help us in welcoming new physiotherapist Themi to the TSM Team!

Themi was born and raised in Darwin before moving to Adelaide to complete her Bachelor of Physiotherapy at the University of South Australia. Themi has recently returned home to undertake further study and enjoy the laid-back lifestyle that comes with the Territory.

Whilst working in Adelaide, Themi gained valuable experience primarily treating musculoskeletal and sporting injuries. She has also worked extensively in football and soccer – including her time as a team physiotherapist with the North Adelaide Football Club, Football SA State U14/16s team and various local football clubs.

Themi enjoys working with people from all walks of life and is extremely passionate about helping people achieve their goals through a collaborative approach. Themi has particular interest in managing sporting injuries and shoulder, hip, knee, and post-operative rehabilitation.

Outside of work you’ll find Themi spending time running, bouldering, walking her dog Ricky and planning her next snowboarding trip.

Amazing opportunities with NT Cricket! Our physiotherapists can't wait to continue supporting the young athletes in their sporting journeys 🏏

A special mention to Territory Sportsmedicine - NT Cricket's 'Official Physiotherapy Partner' - for their support throughout the recent Cricket Australia Underage National Championships.

Kathryn Volk (U19 Male and U17 Male) and Samantha Lane (U16 Female) have provided medical and physiotherapy support to our Pathway players, ensuring they are prepared to perform at their best when they step onto the field.

Over the past 12 months, Kathryn (Australia Men's 'A' and Australia U19 Girls), Samantha (Australia's Men's Cricketer's with an Intellectual Disability and Top End Series) and Doctor Sonali Pande (Australia Men's 'A') have also all worked alongside other Australian high-performance teams, providing invaluable experience for the NT's most talent sports medicine professionals.

Physio Spotlight: Sam🌟

Over the last week and a bit physiotherapist Sam travelled to Tasmania with NT Cricket U16 Girls side at the National Championships.

An outstanding tournament was had by this side! With some impressive wins and amazing improvement.

A massive congratulations goes out to young Jordi who was the leading wicket taker for the tournament and selected in the Cricket Australia’s team of the tournament 🏏

Massive thank you to Cricket NT who continue to bring our team on these trips! It’s exciting and a great opportunity to support and watch these young athletes develop and excel in their sport!

2025 – the year that was! 🌟

It was another massive year in the TSM Clinic. From opening our new gym space to supporting amazing causes such as Push it for Better and Share the Dignity.

Our staff travelled Australia and the world, supporting various sporting teams ensuring they had the best care possible.

We said goodbye to staff and welcomed new members to the team.
