Get to know the team at NT Integrated Therapy!

Meet Shania:

Hi, my name is Shania and I was born and raised in the Territory, calling the rural area home.
Spending my formative years chasing acres and cows I have travelled all over exploring what Australia has to offer whilst learning all things culture and equine.

Upon being offered the chance of a lifetime to start work at NT Integrated I packed my bags and headed back to Darwin where I began facilitating Equine Facilitated Learning sessions. Now years down the track I have begun a new role as an allied health assistant offering speech therapy to Darwin residents.
Being a part of the team at NT Integrated has been the greatest honour and I look forward to my continued growth here.

Outside of work you will find me either spending time with my growing family or in the yard gardening or working the horses.

The wonderful NDIS providers of the Big Rivers region 💜

Last month we hosted an NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) Providers Networking Meeting at our Katherine Support Centre, which our Aged and Disability Care staff attended alongside 20 providers from the Big Rivers region!

This meeting provided an opportunity for local NDIS providers to meet in person, share experiences and knowledge, collaborate, network and strengthen relationships beyond online and phone interactions.

Special thanks to the Territory Families, Housing and Communities Office of Disability, NDIS National Disability Insurance Scheme and the Northern Territory Public Guardian and Trustee for coordinating and presenting at the meeting.

Therapy in the NT is really difficult in the way of securing a spot without a lengthy wait list.
As a company, NT Integrated Therapy have been able to subcontract out to a Speechie from Brisbane to service our clients in Darwin and the remote communities that we have participants in. We have been so privileged to host Bonnie the Speechie and show her around the Top end and give her a taste of community life.

Get to know the team at NT Integrated Therapy!

Meet Kristy:

I was born in Moree NSW, Moved to Gold Coast 8 years ago before moving to Northern Territory in March this year. I moved to be with my eldest daughter and son in-law and my youngest daughter has also decided to join us up here now as well. Recently I found out that I will be a first-time nan in December.

I choose to work for NT Integrated Therapy because they hold the same values and beliefs that I have when it comes to helping community’s, promoting self-determination. By supporting individuals understand and implement their NDIS plans how they choose and a Family friendly environment.

I enjoy spending time with family, going to the beach, movies, BBQ and sitting in the pool on a hot day which I am starting to think is every day in the Top End.

My favourite music artist is PINK and movie actor is Jason Momoa

Get to know the team at NT Integrated Therapy!

Meet Amy:

My name is Amy and I have been working for NTIT for 2.5 years. I come from a 10 year background in residential aged care and decided to make the switch to NDIS Support Coordination to allow a further reach to those in need of support and to make good use of my obsessive attention to detail! I feel very privileged to be able to meet and support the diverse range of people that I do each day. .

I am a wife and mother of 4 girls and lived in Darwin from the age of 8 to 34. My family and I have recently relocated to QLD where I continue to support my Darwin participants remotely and new QLD participants face to face. I am also the face of the NTIT Accounts department, making sure the bills get paid and supports continue as seamlessly as possible 😊

In my spare time I enjoy taking the family camping, gardening and reading. My favourite colour is green and I enjoy listening to music of the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s.

The NDIS After Hours Crisis Referral Service (AHCRS) is a dedicated 1800 number for approved emergency services referrers to contact outside business hours when a participant aged 18 and over presents to emergency services due to a breakdown of disability-related supports.

‘Outside business hours’ means after normal weekday business hours (5pm to 9am Monday to Friday, weekends and public holidays).

‘Approved referrers’ include emergency service organisations such as ambulance, public and private hospitals, police, acute state mental health services and state justice officers.

Each state and territory government has worked with the NDIA to identify approved referrers in each area.

The 1800 number has been provided to all relevant emergency services in each state and territory.

The service is delivered by Marathon Health on behalf of the NDIA.

Existing crisis and escalation arrangements during business hours remain in place, such as contacting the NDIS National Contact Centre on 1800 800 110, or a local NDIS representative.

The AHCRS does not replace the responsibilities of state and territory mainstream or emergency services.

The state and territory governments have a responsibility to continue to ensure access to mainstream services for people with disability.

This can include housing and homelessness services, family violence services and other mainstream crisis services.

If you are experiencing a crisis due to your disability-related supports or your health or wellbeing is at risk, contact emergency services for immediate assistance on 000.

Hi my name is Skye, I was born in QLD and moved to the Territory in Teenage years and lived in the Barkly Region for 15years before moving to Katherine and now living in Darwin.
NT Integrated chose me for my awesomeness lol 😊. I like the tailored approached and flexibility of working with clients to ensure their needs are meet and their voice is heard.
Outdoors is where I love to be. Off the grid and being in the bush. Love fishing. Motorsports, Horse riding and most of all spending time with my family.
Favourite music or artist – All types but love old school music the most.

Get to know the team at NT Integrated Therapy

Meet Bonney:

Hi, my name is Bonney and I’m the Operations Manager for NT Integrated Therapy.
Prior to coming on board with NTIT I had worked for Carers NT in a carer advisory role for quite a few years, assisting to roll out NDIS coordination services for the organisation and become one of Darwin’s first SC’s in the region.

In 2020 I was planning a big move to the USA, had finished up with Carers NT and was all packed and ready to go.. but Covid had other plans!!
It wasn’t long until director Rachel Oliver heard this news and offered me a position in her fairly new business – and I’ve happily been with NTIT ever since.
In the beginning there was Rachel, myself and one other coordinator in Alice Springs. Since then, we have grown to now have 8 of Darwin’s best and most sought-after coordinators servicing throughout the NT! All working alongside amazing therapy assistants and some pretty cute (and high maintenance) therapy horses.
In my role, I provide overall operational support to the company, am Rachel’s “right hand WO-man”, as well as a coordinator to my own wonderful participants and nominees. My niche is palliative care and early dementia, and I’m beyond grateful for every day that I get to build and maintain positive relationships with my participants, their families and providers. Always ensuring that their individual support needs are met to the highest standard.

In my personal life I’m a dog mum and free babysitter to my older sibling’s soccer teams. I’m a HUGE history and historic architecture buff and can spend hours if not entire days researching – I could tell you in detail every facet of my family history and about every historic building/place in Darwin!!
Also, not to brag, but I’m so good at music trivia that it’s embarrassing for anyone I verse 😉
Outside of this you’ll always find me near water with a group of friends - and a wine in hand.
