Meet Jacqui Clarke, our Wellbeing and Engagement Champion at Regis Cranbourne.

Jacqui has been a valued Regis team member for 22 years. Over that time, she has worked across a variety of roles and found her passion for wellbeing, where she helps residents feel connected and supported every day.

“I feel incredibly lucky to do what I love. At this point, I can’t even think about retiring.”

Jacqui’s dedication and warmth make a real difference. We are proud to have team members like her who bring joy and purpose to aged care.

Regis Port Macquarie hosted a week of baking demonstrations, decorating and cooking groups. Residents shared recipes, got creative and joined team members for a friendly Bake Off finale, complete with blue ribbons and champion bake awards.

The week sparked memories, encouraged connection and gave residents the chance to show off their skills in a fun and supportive environment.

After requesting a BBQ at their last picnic, residents from Regis Sandgate Lucinda and Regis Sandgate Musgrave returned to the park this month with tongs in hand and stories to share. Bev brought her fruit and vegetable salad, others helped cook and everyone enjoyed a relaxed afternoon of connection and conversation.

Regis Musgrave resident Rodney shared, “It is always nice to keep in touch with our fellow residents in Sandgate Lucinda. It helps us create new friendships during picnics and even during our friendly competition at the Home. We should do this often.”

Seasonal favourites and cultural tunes are part of the mix, with performances around Christmas, Australia Day, ANZAC Day and more. One resident shared, “I feel I’m back to the time of when I was young while I sing.”

Regis Holland Park recognised National Pain Week with a wellbeing workshop that encouraged open conversations about chronic pain and how it can be managed. Residents explored common types of pain, shared personal reflections and learned practical strategies to support everyday comfort and connection.

The session ended with a seated Musical Zumba activity that brought movement, music and laughter into the Home, offering a gentle way to stay active and socially engaged.

Resident Helen after the session, said “What a lovely way to exercise. I love the music and being seated while moving makes it so enjoyable.”

Yesterday, across the country we celebrated Aged Care Employee Day, a moment to recognise the incredible people who make aged care what it is. From clinical and lifestyle teams to kitchen and support employees, every team member plays a part in making Regis feel like home.

Our Homes marked the day in their own way, with everything from morning teas and sweet treats to thoughtful gifts and messages of thanks. Residents joined in sharing their appreciation and made the day special for the people who care for them every day.

It was a day filled with gratitude and connection, a reminder of the impact aged care employees have, and how deeply they’re appreciated across our communities.

Residents from Regis Magnolia joined Regis Holland Park for a morning of connection, conversation and friendly competition. The atmosphere was lighthearted and welcoming, with plenty of laughter and new friendships formed throughout the day.

“It was so nice meeting people from the other home. We had lots of laughs and good chats. It really made my day,” said Mele from Regis Holland Park.

Greta added, “What I really like about Regis is how they bring us together. I feel lucky to be here with such lovely people around me.”
