Who else is old enough to remember when knee socks and tailored shorts were commonplace at work?

Some of our long-time customers will remember our original location on Trower Road (below Jenny Craig, next to Repco), which my father, Ian Marshall, first opened in February 1984 on a shoestring budget. Both he and my grandfather installed the shop fit themselves, and I remember watching my grandfather on his hands and knees hammering down the dispensary floorboards, one nail at a time…!

That was over 39 years ago. How times have changed since then, and thankfully, so have the uniforms!

As a small family-owned business, we have absolutely loved being part of Darwin which we call home, and along the way have made many friends and met many wonderful people.

Next year will be our 40th anniversary and we will be celebrating our customers and community who have kept us going all these years, and for that we will be forever grateful.
