‼️BOIL WATER ALERT‼️

⚠️ BOIL WATER ALERT - DARWIN AND PALMERSTON

A boil water alert is issued for Greater Darwin and Palmerston and surrounding areas due to the flooding of Darwin River Dam.

Use cooled boiled water or bottled water for:
• Drinking
• Preparing food
• Preparing baby formula
• Brushing teeth

Residents are urged to conserve the water supply for the above uses only.

NT Health will lift the boil water alert after Power and Water confirms the water supply system is fully operational and the water is safe to drink.

‼️REDUCE WATER USE‼️

💧 The Darwin community has been asked to reduce their water use.

Darwin River Dam has stopped operating due to flooding of the pump station and associated equipment.

In the meantime, all residents in Darwin and surrounding rural areas are asked to conserve water.

Residents may experience low water pressure or reduced supply while repairs are underway to get the dam operational again. SecureNT Power and Water

Today, I am moved to share a beloved quote that lives in my heart. Seven years ago, it appeared in my inbox, a gentle reminder of the paths we cross in one another’s lives. The sender will always carry a piece of me in their thoughts.

In my journey as an educator/carer, I’ve learned that love, compassion, and patience are the quiet weights that lift our work. I am grateful to God for the chance to offer these gifts to every child I care for, including my own three boys—Macoy, Macky, and MacMac—who fill me with pride and joy as their mother.

To the person who sent that heartfelt line: thank you for your ongoing inspiration. It greets me each day as a blessing.

Today, I also recognize all my incredible colleagues and mentors. I may not name you all, but your hearts know who you are. May we continue to teach with love and compassion for every child we nurture, whether they are our own or not.
