What is this Flamingo Five?
It's taking the opportunity throughout the day to stop and self regulate with regards to your Nervous System.
Here's a couple of options, from a humungous list!
🌟 Sit for 5 minutes and do a body scan for tension.
🌟 Take 5 breaths, equal inhale and exhale. Ideally for 5 seconds in : 5 seconds out. If 5 seconds is too long, make it shorter.
🌟 Look around you and identify 5 things that make you smile or bring you joy.
And sometimes, its easy to do & other times its easy to get distracted.
These small actions can help with Nervous System Regulation: which can affect Inflammation, Chronic Pain and so many other systems. Stay tuned, as I have heaps to share with you from my recent Nervous System Training: Trauma Informed, Evidence Based and its been a game changer for me.
This is my attempt to do my Flamingo Five today, easily distracted initially, but got there in the end.
Who wouldn't be distracted by Pelicans!!
