How are you doing with the change of routine and the lack of structure??

Try making a list of things you could do, and list them by energy levels. Check in with your energy in the moment you need an activity (try one per day atleast), and choose accordingly.

If we engage in community care and support each other, this is possible. When you have a spare spoon, lend it. When you’re low on spoons, ask someone.

Stop shaming yourself for what you can’t do, and reach out for community care, so you can. Become more supported with me.

As the year ends, we want to gently release some promises that were never fair in the first place.

Neurodivergent brains don’t struggle because of a lack of discipline, effort, or willpower.

We struggle when we’re trying to survive in systems that weren’t built for us.

The goal for the new year isn’t “do better”,
it’s be better supported.

You’re not behind. You’re not broken.
You’re allowed to need what you need. 💛

Save this for when January gets loud.

What a year.

We said hello to new hive teamies. We served the community through individual and group sessions, free workshops, trainings for clinicians, resources and lots of freebies.

We released our mindfulness album (free wherever you listen to music), expo’d at , released a PDA and AuDHD booklet and have so. so. so. many. plans. brewing.

We learned from you, we met many of you, and we grew.

We love being part of this Neuroaffirming community, and take our role very seriously. We will continue to advocate for neurodivergent people, and fight the affirming fight.

Good luck for 2026 - The Psych Hive 🐝

Finished just in time!! This took extreme regulation breaks and body doubling but we got there! In time to say a warm, heart felt merry Christmas and happy holidays to our community.

If celebrating is not your thing or you’re struggling with the expectation of today, happy Thursday. Sending love.

🎶 It’s beginning to look a lot like… overwhelm 🎶

If Christmas songs were written by neurodivergent brains, they’d sound a little different 😂

Swipe for festive chaos, sensory overload, and executive dysfunction in carol form.

Save for when the music is loud, the lights are bright, and you’re wondering why the fridge is screaming.

Are you getting sucked into making Christmas magical, more than meaningful?

If the day is quieter than planned.
If plans change.
If your child needs breaks, space, sameness, or early nights.
If you’re holding it together while everything feels a bit much.

You haven’t failed Christmas.

For many kids (especially neurodivergent kids) the biggest gift isn’t excitement or surprise.
It’s safety.
It’s predictability.
It’s an adult who stays calm, flexible, and kind when things wobble.

A regulated adult is far more powerful than a perfect plan.

However Christmas looks in your home, you are doing enough 🤍

Accommodating a child isn’t stopping them being able to function in “the real world”. It’s setting them up for it.

This year taught us a lot.

Mostly from the kids and families we have the privilege of working alongside.

Some lessons were clinical.
Some were human.
All of them reshaped how we show up in the therapy room.

If there’s one thing we’re taking into the next year, it’s this:
listening matters more than fixing.

Which one of these lessons landed for you?

Is there one you’d add?

🤍

🎄 ADHD / Autistic Christmas Bingo 🎄

If December feels like a lot, you’re not imagining it.

Sensory overload, disrupted routines, masking, executive functioning on hard mode, all at once.

Screenshot, play along, and remember:
you’re allowed to do Christmas in a way that works for your nervous system 💛

Comment “BINGO” if you’ve already won.
