We are pleased to welcome new dentist Dr Jim Williamson to Our Medical Dental in Dee Why. Dr Williamson is an experienced dentist who graduated from Elizabeth College and trained at Guy’s Hospital in London. Since moving to Australia in 2008, Dr Williamson has worked in the government surgical department as well as in general dental practices. Dr Williamson has over 20 years of experience in all areas of general dentistry, with a particular interest in complex restorations, crowns, root canals and wisdom teeth extractions. Dr Jim prioritises health, form and function.

We're delighted to introduce Elissa Shirvington, the new registered psychologist at Our Medical Dee Why.

With over 20 years of experience as a registered psychologist, Elissa has experience supporting adults with a range of mental, emotional and psychological health needs. Elissa has a passion for supporting individuals make preventative changes. Elissa has a Masters Degree from the University of London (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy) and is Member of the Australian Psychological Society. Her clinical focus includes supporting adults experiencing stress or distress, anxiety, mood disorders and more.

Our Medical Dee Why is pleased to welcome endocrinologist Dr Farahnaz Salehi Nia to our centre. Dr Farahnaz is committed to providing evidence-based, patient-centred care to optimise patient’s health outcomes. In addition to English, Dr Farahnaz also speaks Farsi.

Dr Farahnaz’s special interests include:
- Diabetes management (type 1, type 2, 3c)
- Thyroid disorders (autoimmune and nodular disease)
- Menopause
- Adrenal and pituitary dysfunction
- Polycystic o***y syndrome (PCOS)
