As part of her placement with Inspire, one of our speech pathology students has been gaining valuable experience working with a range of clients and exploring different areas of practice.

Here’s what she had to say:
“As a speech pathology student on placement at Inspire, I’ve had lots of learning opportunities so far and have seen many different clients. An area of interest to me that many people may not know about is AAC, which I have recently been able to see how it can be used in therapy.”

AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) is an essential part of supporting individuals with complex communication needs, and we’re proud to support students as they learn more about its role in speech therapy.

Shared home reading is important for children’s language and literacy development as it expands their vocabulary, builds on sight word knowledge and increases reading fluency and comprehension. It also improves their ability to express themselves and understand others when children are asked questions about the text. Even just 10-15 minutes a day can be effective!

That’s a wrap on Dino Month and it was dino-mite! 🦖🦕

All June long, our Gregory Hills Clinic transformed into a prehistoric playground filled with dinosaur crafts, fossil digs, movement games, and themed communication tasks.

These play-based experiences weren’t just fun, they supported real progress in communication, social interaction, motor planning, and confidence.

We’re so proud of all the amazing moments our little explorers created together. 💛

We’re so pleased to welcome Ana, our new Provisional Psychologist, to the Inspire Allied Health and Education team.

Ana has completed her Bachelor in Psychology (Honours) and has a strong passion for working with children with neurodevelopmental disorders.

With experience in behavioural therapy and psychology, Ana is committed to providing evidence-based, compassionate support that empowers children and families.

Outside of work, Ana enjoys exploring trendy restaurants and cafes as she is a massive foodie!

We’re excited to have her on board!
