EXCITING NEWS! Starting on 17/7/23 (after the school holidays) we have the lovely Felicity de Blic joining us at Beaches Pelvic Physio to provide a Paediatric Continence Service.
With years of experience at Sydney Children's Hospital and in private practice, Felicity is passionate about child and adolescent pelvic health, treating bladder and bowel leakage/incontinence, constipation/soiling, pain with toileting, difficulties with toilet training, pelvic pain, and gut issues as a result of eating disorders. She works closely with you as a family, together with our network (including Specialists, Gp's, Nutritionists, Psychologists) to optimise your child's health and well-being.
We have not had a dedicated Paediatric Continence Physio on the Beaches before, so we are very excited to be able to offer this local service and save families from travelling over the bridge to access care.
So, please give us a call: 02 8964 5579 / 0435 150136, or head to our website: www.beachespelvic.physio if you'd like more information, or would like to book an appointment.
You can also follow us on our socials: Insta, Facebook, YouTube - all Beaches Pelvic Physio.
As ever, we look forward to hearing from you soon.

Do you have symptoms of heaviness, dragging, feeling things are dislodged or falling out? It may be a prolapse.
You may have already been diagnosed with a prolapse and told that nothing can be done until you need surgery, or that you mustn’t ever lift anything or run again.
Well I’m here to myth bust! The following video goes through what prolapses are, and what your management options are.

SPOILER ALERT: surgery is not always necessary. Not every prolapse will get worse. There are lots of non-surgical management techniques that we use as Pelvic Health Physio’s that can make the world of difference to your symptoms, so please get in touch if you’d like to know more : tel 0435 150136 or 02 8964 5579. Email hello@beachespelvic.physio or go to the website www.beachespelvic.physio to book via the online diary.
Always happy to chat if you’re unsure whether we can help or not. Ta Jenni & team

Just made it in time for February being Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month. Ovarian cancer is quite “silent” ie the symptoms are vague and easily explained away by other causes. The research done by these Dr’s is really interesting- looking at shopping habits of women diagnosed with ovarian cancer. Read the article for full details but basically if you’re getting persistent symptoms of: indigestion bloating feeling full quickly when eating Pelvic/abdominal pain Urinary frequency/urgency
Speak to your GP and ask for a pelvic ultrasound.

Shoppers' purchases of medicines could flag early symptoms linked to the cancer, UK researchers say.
