If that sounds like fun (not chaos), we want YOU! This full-time, permanent role is all about keeping The Soul Shack spinning smoothly - from groceries, vehicles, and animal care, to camp prep, checklists, and making sure nothing slips through the cracks.

💰 Hourly rate: Dependent on experience (SCHADS Award)
📍 Based at The Soul Shack – FNQ Occupational Therapy, Deeral
🕒 Full-time | Permanent

✨ What you’ll be doing:
🛒 Groceries, shopping & keeping us stocked up
🚐 Booking vehicle services & keeping them safe
🎒 Packing & prepping for our epic camps
🧹 Organising cleaners, yard crew & repairs
👯 Coordinating medical appointments, gatherings with friends & social activities for Shack locals – plus assisting in developing itineraries and preparing everything needed so nothing’s missed
🐾 Sorting animal feed & vet appointments
📝 Developing checklists & keeping chaos under control

EVENT COORDINATOR - NOW HIRING
Full-time or Part-time
We’re looking for a highly organised and creative Event Coordinator to join our team.
This role is responsible for the planning, preparation, and coordination of regular group events and individual respite stays, ensuring each experience is safe, well-resourced, and thoughtfully planned.
You’ll work closely with our leadership team to coordinate everything from transport and supplies to menus and promotional posts, with the opportunity to be involved in events and camps where needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate all preparation for group events and individual stays
- Develop event itineraries and menus in collaboration with the team
- Organise grocery shopping and assist with meal prep planning
- Coordinate transport, vehicle cleaning, fuelling, and readiness
- Stock and maintain inventory for: First aid kits, Craft and activity supplies, Pantry and cleaning supplies,
- Safety equipment for outings
- Book activities, venues, and external providers
- Conduct safety checks and risk assessments as needed
- Create and manage checklists, packing lists, and logical storage systems
- Promote events via social media, newsletters, and other tools
- Maintain planning documentation, receipts, and records
- Assist during events and group stays if required

We’re looking for someone who:
- Has strong organisational and planning skills
- Is confident managing multiple logistics and timelines
- Communicates clearly and works well across teams
- Has attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-focused approach
- Is comfortable using spreadsheets, email, and planning tools

Bonus if you have:
- Experience using Mailchimp, Canva, or other promotional tools
- Ability to create and maintain event checklists, itineraries, and menus
- Skill in organising packing lists and setting up logical storage systems
- Knowledge of games, crafts, tourist activities, and inclusive community outings
- Meal planning or kitchen coordination experience
- Content creation or photography skills
- Background in events, logistics, admin, or disability support
- Qualifications or training in event management, hospitality, disability, or community services.
