Kombucha lesson today. Keep 1/4 of last batch of kombucha here about 300ml. Include some SCOBY. Brew your tea here about 900ml with 4 teabags and about 1'3 cup sugar. Once tea is room temperature add to jar. Cover with cloth check in about one week. Your nose will know if it smells ready. Then decant off 3'4 for second ferment and start again..... These jars are amazing for starting a new brew. Thank you Desi.

Citrus is the sunshine of winter. Grapefruit, Eureka lemons, Myer lemons , Cumquats and Tangelos at the farm gate today.

The time to brew Kombucha takes longer as the weather cools. For those waiting for the next batch fingers crossed it is ready before our Tassie trip.

How do you enjoy your Kombucha in Summer? 50/50 with mineral water is my current fav.

With the warm weather the brew is fermenting quickly so lots of extra at the moment. 2 x 1.25 l bottles for $10, ginger flavour. Due the the extra I am recycling plastic 1.25L mineral water bottles, if you would like glass you will need to bring your own about 8 days in advance. As always all money goes to tree planting on our property.
