Today, on ,we take a moment to honour those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation. We remember those who have returned home, whether injured or ill, in body or spirit, and we acknowledge the bravery of those who continue to serve our country today.

Our residents and staff wear red poppies as a symbol of remembrance, inspired by the poem "In Flanders Fields," which reflects on the poppies growing over soldiers' graves in war-torn fields. The day serves as an important reminder of the cost of war and the value of peace, as well as an opportunity to express gratitude to those who have served in the past and those who continue to serve.

A small glimpse at Oliver Kelly Group and Design Intent Architecture fantastic progress on Stage 2 of our Kanangra ACAR project.
Despite some recent challenging weather, this week will see the roof completed over the main section of the building, marking a significant milestone in the project.

This project has been made possible via funding from Commonwealth Australian Government Department of Health, Disability and Ageing, and their Aged Care Approvals Round (ACAR) grant scheme. We are extremely grateful to the Australian Government’s continuing support and investment in Aged Care Deloraine.

Hi everyone,

Aged Care Deloraine is thrilled to announce that we have been successful in securing a Commonwealth Government grant through the Aged Care Capital Assistance Program.

This funding will support the much-needed expansion of Grenoch Home, ensuring that older people in the Meander Valley and surrounding areas can continue to access high-quality aged care close to home.

The expansion will help us meet the growing needs of our community, provide more opportunities for ageing in place, and strengthen the support we offer to residents, families, and staff.

We sincerely thank the Australian Government Department of Health, Disability and Ageing for their commitment to investing in regional aged care.

We are now working with the Government to finalise the agreement and will share more details as the project develops.

This is a truly exciting milestone for Aged Care Deloraine — an investment not only in buildings, but in people, care, and community. 💙

The residents absolutely love it when the staff dive into the colourful festivities.
This delightful tradition not only builds a sense of community and togetherness but also bridges the generational gap, creating opportunities for shared stories and cherished memories.

Today our residents at Grenoch and Kanangra came together to celebrate Daffodil Day - a special time to reflect, remember and support vital cancer research.
A special thank you to Found in Earth - Deloraine Floristry for their incredible donation of gorgeous daffodil arrangements! These golden blooms brought so much joy and colour to our home🌼💛

Kanangra Redevelopment – Stage 2 Now Underway

Our Kanangra home has officially entered Stage 2 of its 3-stage, $4 million redevelopment—generously supported by the Federal Government’s ACAR grants program.

Stage 1 was recently completed and delivered six brand-new resident rooms along with a modern, purpose-built hair salon.

Stage 2 commenced this month and involves the full demolition of the old Crowden Court wing to make way for the continuation of the Stage 1 building. This is essentially a new build—we’re not only removing the existing structure but also taking out the concrete slab and starting from the ground up.

Stage 2 brings a number of exciting additions, including:
- Three new resident rooms
- A spacious lounge area
- Activities room with tea-making facilities
- Front sitting area
- Dedicated reception and office spaces
- Upgraded fire panel
- Accessible WC
- Refreshed entryway
- Additional storage

We’re also aiming to refresh the main dining room, with new courtyard-facing windows and a new automatic door at the entry.

Work on the new internal courtyard is still being finalised, thanks to funding by the Rotary Pratt Foundation.

This is a very exciting time in the history of Aged Care Deloraine, and we sincerely thank our residents, staff, and visitors for their ongoing support and understanding.
