I'm now in Denmark, what wonderful happy people in this special place to live and support others in my passion business.

The journey towards the best version of yourself.

LifeTrail has been operating since 2017, now a Denmark WA-based service provider, specialising in professional individual NDIS and self-funded mentoring, as well as licensed hiking services.

This small local business is committed to fostering independence, resilience, and self-confidence through its partnerships and affiliations with respected bodies such as the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), the Bibbulmun Track Foundation, and DBCA Parks and Wildlife.

LifeTrail stories

- 22 year old young man with ASD who has battled with his anxiety, employment was a real challenge, now lives independently and runs his own business as a Support Worker
- 21 yr old gender fluid ASD, with high anxiety, no income. Within 12 months, assisted them on to the DSP, regular independent volunteering, now studying their dream Art Certificate 3 course at TAFE.
- 62 year old man with early on-set Dementia, has hiked over 1000 km with me in 3 years.
- A group of nine 17 yr old Sydney girls wanted to complete their 7 day Duke Of Ed hike on the Bibbulmun Track, Didier made it happen, it was the best hike ever!

Since 2018, LifeTrail—previously known as Didier Walks—has been dedicated to guiding teenagers on multiday hikes as part of the Duke Of Edinburgh International Award program.

Our main goal has been to support and inspire participants by offering meaningful outdoor experiences committed to fostering independence, resilience, and self-confidence towards the best version of themselves.

During the July holidays, LifeTrail led two separate three-day hikes along the Helena Valley section of the renowned Bibbulmun Track.

These journeys provided an opportunity for Duke Of Edinburgh participants to challenge themselves and grow through adventure.

After completing their hike, participants such as Isabella and Meredith are required to submit personal reports to both myself and the Duke Of Edinburgh Award. I am very grateful they allowed me to share their reports with everyone.

These reflections offer valuable insights into their experiences and personal growth. Isabella and Meredith both 14, who are very close friends, took part in these hikes and shared their perspectives through personal, genuine, heartfelt reports.

This is Meredith's, a recent post shared Isabelle's experience.

I think you will agree, they are so beautifully written, I thought I had walked into a book shop.

Goal: To challenge myself physically and mentally by completing a 3-day, 2-night hike while building resilience, teamwork, and outdoor skills. I aim to stay positive, support my group, and develop confidence in navigating and camping in the natural environment

The hike was intense, strenuous and difficult. But I learnt so many new things including endurance, stamina and confidence. Prior to the hike, I was dreading the experience, worried about hygiene, weight of the backpack, sleeping comfort. Due to having never camped or hiked before, I was increasingl...

Exciting LifeTrail Business Announcement from Didier.

After eight years of dedicated service in hiking and NDIS mentoring, Didier & LifeTrail will be relocating to WA’s great southern town of Denmark, a picturesque town on the Great Southern coast in early September 2025.

Didier fell in love with Denmark during his solo Bibbulmun Track hike in 2016. This world-class 1000 km trail in Western Australia starts in Kalamunda, Perth, and ends in Albany, passing through the town along the way.

Didier will maintain the same high-quality services and passion at their new home. LifeTrail will continue to provide Duke Of Ed Adventurous Journey Teen hikes.

Didier is already beginning to connect with Denmark and Albany's NDIS community, local schools and other local services.

What do we do when we can’t hike due to the intense Perth Summer?

I get out the Bibbulmun Track map, jump on two great local hiking sites www.thelifeofpy.com.au and www.thelongwaysbetter.blogspot.com.

And plan my 2025 personal and teen hikes. It’s both very pleasurable and you miss it so much at the same time.

Today I tried to walk Google Street View the Bibbulmun Track, but it soon didn’t work. It’s been done so you should be able to.
