My passion for healing extends to the animals too 🐶 This is Milo 🥰 He’s my brother’s dog and he is dying. He’s an old boy with a big heart, so big, it’s squeezing space and affecting his lungs. We have had long walks, cuddles like a baby and long eye gazing sessions. I wish I could fix this… and I can’t. So what I did do is offer some massage while spooning in front of the fire 🔥 He’s breathing did relax nicely. I’ll take it that as a win

Symptoms of glue ear. Temporary deafness and muted sounds, a sensation of fullness in the ear, possible speech delays. Treat it early if you can.

Glue ear or otitis media with effusion is very common in children while their faces are still growing. The eustacian tube is relatively flat and as they grow it can then angle and tilt in a way that drains better. Until then, this can leave the ears at risk. The more snot, the longer it stays the more chance there is of this becoming a problem.

Does this child feel safe? This is the question I constantly ask myself when treating children. In order to connect with a patients Qi (energy) first you must engage the spirit. I think Mr 6 might feel rather relaxed. We are like cats relaxing in the afternoon sun ☀️ 🐈

As a health practitioner my life’s work is to help people feel better. ❤️‍🩹 but what happens when I get sick…. Firstly it’s guilt- for letting people down, secondly stress- having to cancel and re schedule appointments. And the part that I’m sure many other practitioners can identify is shame- this is a horrible feeling around the belief of “well I’m meant to be the model of health aren’t I” As the years go by, I am finding it slightly easier to remind myself of the human that I am. Lastly, the problem no one talks about is the loss of income. As a sole trader, there is no sick pay. It’s simply- no work, no pay. I don’t do this work for the money, yet I do need to provide for my family. So big shout out to all the sole traders that need to take a day off. I feel you and see you 🌟 and thanks to all my patients that come back after I need to cancel a work day 👏 💜

A patient sent this to me to show that their time on the acupuncture table came in at a lower stress reading than when they were sleeping 😯 I know for myself and from how often I hear “Woah that was so relaxing” that acupuncture feels great but to see it like this is very cool.

Tonsillitis for Miss 10 in our house last week. If you’ve had it, you know it’s not nice at all! For the first 2 days it felt like a full fledge battle- I was “hitting it” with salt water gargles, homeopathy from Emma Chinese herbs, essential oils topically, lymph massage, supplements, sun shine, soooo much couch time and of course acupuncture (Miss likes press tacs not needles so flexible I was!) Anyway much better, looking clear and back to school today at Day 5. Nows the important bit…… prevention of any further tonsillitis
