🎪 Free School Holiday Event for Families 🎪

Circus Quirkus is coming to Tasmania these school holidays, and free tickets are available for clients, participants, families, and carers.

Expect lots of laughs and colour, with amazing circus performances from clowns, jugglers, and acrobats! Designed to be inclusive, accessible, and suitable for all ages and diverse abilities.

Today, on World Autism Awareness Day, we’re reminded that understanding and inclusion start with listening to the needs of autistic children and meeting them in ways that feel safe and meaningful.

At Kites, that belief is at the heart of how we deliver therapy, including our Dog‑Assisted Therapy program with Grady the Facility Dog.

For some children with autism, traditional therapy settings can feel overwhelming. Working alongside our therapists, Grady helps create moments of connection that make therapy more accessible and engaging.

Grady creates opportunities for children to practise emotional regulation and connection. These moments grow through play and consistent routines, helping build trust and allowing children to participate at their own pace, in their own way.

Not just today, but every day, we’re proud to celebrate approaches that recognise neurodiversity and focus on supporting each child’s unique strengths - with Grady right by their side 🐾💙

Kites Children’s Therapy is expanding into our new purpose‑built centre in Derwent Park, and we’re looking for a passionate Physiotherapist to join our Tasmanian team.
In this part‑time role, you’ll support children with disability and developmental delay through centre‑based, community and hydrotherapy sessions — working closely with families and our interdisciplinary team to create meaningful impact every day.

Tasmanian Disability Inclusion Plan – have your say!

Registrations are now open for in-person and online consultation sessions on Tasmania’s first Disability Inclusion Plan.

The voices and ideas from people with disability, the disability sector, carers, families, and the broader Tasmanian community matter. Your contribution will help shape a strong plan for an inclusive future for all Tasmanians with disability.

Webinars begin from 3 February and cover three topics: Tasmanian Government services, accessible communication and consultation, and safeguarding.

In-person sessions are being held in Hobart, Launceston, and Ulverstone from 12 - 19 February.

Can’t make a session? You can also complete a survey or make a submission in a format of your choice.
