Trista has been practicing intuitive and guided yoga for over 15 years with a 200hr Yoga Alliance Certification in Hatha, Ashtanga and Yin yoga from Arohan Yoga School. She is also a certified Life Coach with Centre of Excellence and uses this knowledge to incorporate mindset mastery and personal growth techniques into her classes while providing a safe and supportive sacred holding space for her clients. On top of that Trista holds a BA in Nutrition and is available to offer advice and education on transitioning to a plant-based, whole-food, toxin-free lifestyle.

๐Ÿ‚ Safety is the foundation of nervous system health. Without a felt sense of safety, our bodies and minds remain in hypervigilance or shutdown, limiting presence, learning, and healing.

This week we cultivate an awareness of where we feel secure โ€” in our posture, our breath, and our environment๐ŸŒธ

Supporting the body through grounding postures, regulated breath and an awareness of alignment gives a sense of stability that the nervous system can rely on.

Safety is not passive. It is an active engagement with what feels reliable and supportive. We explore cues of safety in the body: the feet pressing into the floor, the spine stacking naturally, and the breath moving easily ๐ŸŒฌ๐Ÿ˜Œ

When the body senses support, the parasympathetic nervous system can activate, promoting calm, restoration, and a capacity to learn new regulation skills.

Strength isnโ€™t always about pushing harder.
Sometimes itโ€™s the quiet patience of showing up, breath by breath, even when the outcome isnโ€™t clear yet ๐ŸŒฅ

This week in class, weโ€™re exploring the balance between strength and surrenderโ€”the strength of perseverance, and the surrender of trusting timing.

On the mat, that looks like letting your movement follow your breath instead of forceโ€ฆ softening expectationsโ€ฆ and allowing your body to open at its own pace.

In life, itโ€™s remembering that growth is happening even when you canโ€™t see it.

Attention all yogis. Please note there wonโ€™t be any yoga classes next week as Iโ€™m heading over to Perth, WA for a very special reason ๐Ÿ™

Iโ€™m incredibly proud to share that The Lounge โ€“ our warm and welcoming space for women walking a journey of mental ill-health โ€“ has been nominated for a National Su***de Prevention award. Itโ€™s such an honour to see this little community of care and connection recognised on a national level.

Thank you so much for your ongoing support โ€“ I know itโ€™s a little soon to be stepping away again, but I promise Iโ€™ll be back the following week, ready to roll out the mat and reconnect.

โœจ Yoga Break Alert! โœจ

Hey, yoga fam! Just a heads-up โ€“ our yoga classes will be on break from March 31st to April 29th while I head off to Japan for a little adventure! ๐Ÿ‡ฏ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿง˜โ€โ™€๏ธ

All classes will be paused during this time, but donโ€™t worry โ€“ weโ€™ll be back and ready to flow on Tuesday, April 29th! ๐Ÿ‚

Iโ€™m really looking forward to some much-needed time to recharge, soak in new experiences, and gather fresh inspiration (and, of course, enjoy plenty of sushi along the way!). I hope you also take this opportunity to rest, reflect, and embrace the peaceful energy of autumn. ๐Ÿ
