🌸 Tassie Mates – Looking for young women to join a social group. 🌸

Tassie Mates is currently seeking a few young women aged 17–24 who want to build social connections by joining a small, supportive group.

They will work towards their NDIS goals while enjoying friendship, building confidence, and participating in fun community activities with others of a similar age in a relaxed and inclusive setting.

If you or a young person you support is on the NDIS and seeking meaningful social connections that align with their NDIS goals, we’d love to hear from you.

🌟 Tassie Mates – Welcoming New Participants! 🌟

Tassie Mates is a family-run mentoring and support service with over 15 years’ experience in the disability sector. We provide person-centred, goal-focused supports that help people with disability develop independence, confidence, and daily life skills.

Our mentoring supports are delivered both in-home and in the community and may include 1:1 support, group activities, community outings, and Short-Term Respite, all tailored to each participant’s NDIS goals and preferences.

Tassie Mates is expanding, and we’re on the lookout for qualified workers to join our team across North West and Northern Tasmania (from Burnie to Launceston and surrounding areas).

We offer both in-home and community-based mentoring supports, working closely with participants to foster independence, confidence, and everyday living skills. Our approach emphasises practical skill-building, positive relationships, and engaging in meaningful community activities.

This role is suitable for people who are flexible and willing to increase their hours over time as new participants join the service.

✔️ Relevant qualifications in Disability, Community Services, Youth Work, or a related field
✔️ NDIS Worker Screening Check
✔️ Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (RWVP)

🌸 Meet Caress 🌸

Caress is a warm and bubbly mentor and support worker with lived experience of disability, which gives her a real understanding and empathy in the way she supports others. She’s a proud mum of two, creative at heart, and loves arts and crafts, photography, gardening and her ever-growing jungle of indoor plants.

She’s fully qualified with a Certificate IV in Community Services, First Aid and all the right clearances.

We’re excited to welcome Conniey to the Tassie Mates crew as a mentor and support worker. He’s the kind of bloke who’s always up for a laugh, brings plenty of energy, and genuinely cares about the people around him.

🏉 A big AFL fan, keen fisherman, and outdoorsy bloke, he also loves music festivals, checking out cars and bikes, and spending time with his dog Sid. He is a true animal lover.

Conniey has spent time working with young people and people living with disability, and he brings loads of life experience to his role. He’s relatable, easy to get along with, and a great fit for anyone who wants a down-to-earth mentor who will get stuck in and have fun while helping them reach their goals.

Tassie Mates is best known for its professional mentoring service. Our goal is to work with our clients on their level, provide them with side-by-side support, and help them build skills so they can be more independent, self-reliant, and self-sufficient.
We tailor our services to each client's needs based on a face-to-face meeting before we start.
Working in people's homes, communities, and outdoors. We are flexible with where and how supports are delivered.
