Hi everyone,
Thank you for choosing me as your Remedial Massage Therapist. It’s truly an honour to treat you and help you achieve lasting results for your soft tissue concerns.
Celebrating Milestones in 2025
This year is especially meaningful to me, as I’m celebrating two major milestones:
-10 years since my clinic opened (as of early November), and
-25 years as a professional remedial massage therapist on 25th November 2025.
Over the years, I’ve refined my assessment methods and treatment techniques to provide the best possible outcomes for each client. One piece of feedback I often hear is, “I’ve never experienced this kind of assessment and treatment approach before.” That’s something I’m very proud of—it reflects the time, passion, and dedication I’ve put into mastering my craft.
My professional journey has been incredibly rewarding. From business ownership and teaching, to serving as a National Director early in my career, each experience has shaped the therapist I am today. As I look ahead to the next five years, I’m focused on continuing my professional development, refining my skills, and maintaining excellence in the field of remedial massage.
Christmas Break
Please note that I’ll be taking a Christmas break from 24th December 2025 to 22nd January 2026.
I look forward to returning refreshed and ready for an exciting year ahead!
Myofascial Technique & Anatomy
Fascia is a key component of the body’s connective tissue system. It includes structures such as joint capsules, ligaments, synovial membranes, and the layers surrounding every muscle. Fascia binds cells into tissues, tissues into organs, and organs into systems. It also connects muscles to bones, forms joints, and envelopes every nerve and blood vessel—essentially holding everything in place.
What Causes Connective Tissue Dysfunction?
-Physical trauma
-Structural imbalances and poor posture
-Repetitive strain (from work, sports, or daily habits)
-Pain and resulting protective muscle patterns
-Immobility (e.g., from casts, splints, or chronic holding patterns)
Layers of the Skin and Connective Tissue
-Epidermis
-Dermis
-Collagen fibres
-Superficial fascia
-Deep fascia
-Muscle
The Myofascial Release Technique
Myofascial release is a slow, controlled technique—similar to the movement of a snail. The goal is to apply the right amount of pressure to reach the deep fascia (fifth layer). When performed correctly, the tissue will gently “spring back” and soften, releasing tension and restoring balance. It has taken me many years to perfect this technique and achieve consistent, effective results.
Continued Professional Education in 2025
To stay current and enhance my clinical practice, I've been engaging in further education throughout the year, including:
-Rotator cuff–related shoulder pain
-Sporting injuries: Where does fascia fit in?
-Sciatic nerve anatomy & insights
-Addressing chronic neck conditions
-Common sports injuries – anatomical & massage perspectives
-International Virtual Symposium
-Ethics in practice
Gift Vouchers & Packages
Gift vouchers are available online at stevecampbellremedialmassage.com or directly from the clinic.
They’re a thoughtful gift for someone new to remedial massage—or you can purchase packages which is a great way for regular clients to purchase multiple treatments at once to save.
Thank you
I'd like to thank all my clients, past and present for your continued support.
Here’s to health, movement, and balance in 2026 and beyond!
Regards,
Steve Campbell
