Good evening,
⚠️Announcement: I wanted to take the opportunity to announce a change to how we deliver our program. The program, for the most part, will be transferred to The Dingley Village Neighbourhood Centre (the DVNC). This means the DVNC will make available workshops and sessions with the same philosophy and intent of contributing to positive mental health and social inclusion through creative workshops.
I will continue to facilitate some workshops as my schedule allows. **see below for links to upcoming workshops
🗣About Us: Nearly 6 years ago I founded Mindful Makings Inc to bring to the community creative activities that would generate positive mental health, mindfulness and social inclusion. As a non-profit organisation we sought to provide these workshops at minimal cost to participants making them available to those who might have been financially challenged, and many workshops were offered at no cost.
Over the years, including during the COVID pandemic lockdowns, we had hundreds of participants undertake our workshops. Given my competing priorities I am no longer able to give Mindful Makings Inc the attention it needs to deliver the level of program intended.
I work full time for the State Government, Emergency Management which has me working very long hours during emergencies,
I am a wife and mother and have the long-time dream of writing my life memoirs (of which I have started to draft). Its for these reasons I have made the decision to close Mindful Makings Inc.
🙏Appreciation: I am thankful for the grants from council and government in addition to winning funds and fundraising efforts for making our workshops possible. I am proud that we ran an organisation with a volunteer committee not paid employees.
I am extremely thankful for the wonderful participants I have met along the way and our amazing workshop facilitators - you are ALL awesome.
🥰I am grateful to our wonderful committee Leeanne, Judy, Natelle and Samantha who contributed to Mindful Makings Inc success.
I have a HUGE thank you to the many amazing businesses who provided long-term support to Mindful Makings Inc and want to specifically call out Brad and Carly of Oscar's Hangout and
Michal Kojdo Buxton Real Estate. We welcome a continued relationship with the DVNC because with your support our workshops were made available to more people.
THANKYOU
