Meet Stephan (Mental Health Counsellor)

Stephan is a registered Counsellor with PACFA and holds a Master’s degree in Counselling and Psychotherapy. His professional experience spans a range of therapeutic settings, with a particular focus on working with young people and adolescents in both school and home environments.

Adolescence can be a turbulent and confusing time. Today’s young people face increasing pressures related to identity, relationships, academic performance, social media, and mental health. Stephans philosophy as a counsellor is rooted in respect, unconditional positive regard, and the belief that each young person holds the answers within themselves. His role is to support them in uncovering those answers, developing coping strategies, and fostering self-confidence.

He utilises a range of evidence-based therapeutic modalities tailored to each individual’s needs, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness, and Creative Therapies. Stephan places a strong emphasis on strengths-based counselling, helping young people recognise and build upon their existing capabilities. He also has training in Motivational Interviewing, grounding techniques, and maintain a strong commitment to the Person-Centred Approach.

His practice is grounded in empathy, collaboration, and professional integrity. Whether an individual is navigating anxiety, depression, family issues, self-esteem challenges, or simply seeking a safe space to talk, he can offer a compassionate, non-judgemental environment to support their journey toward resilience and personal growth.
