AED - Automated External Defibrillator. Use of an AED within the first three minutes of a cardiac arrest has shown to improve lifesaving outcomes of patients from 5% up to 70%.

St. John Donnybrook have provided 34 of these units at various locations throughout our community.

To celebrate National Volunteer Week, some of our wonderful crew got together tonight for a BBQ.

There is a saying “a tradesman is only as good as the tools they use” and that applies to our Vollies as well.

Our vans and equipment are instrumental in what we do, so it is vital that everything is in good working order. We regularly test all equipment and maintain our vans to ensure they get us safely to you when you need us. Both these ladies have clocked up the K’s as we attend over 600 calls a year.

Inside their walls we have seen life and death, had tears and laughter, heard wonderful stories and met so many members of our community. Today after their Sunday bath, they are s***k and span ready for their next call out.
